HELP i ruined my diet and binged so angry at myself
i started the master cleanse today and did good all day but had a family bday bbq to attend, drank alcohol got super hungry and ruined my diet... not only with a bunch of bread and butter but a bunch of ice cream and cake too im so depressed i have 5 days till im a bridesmade in a wedding and need to loose 5 pounds! Any tips on how to just stay on the cleanse (lemonjuice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper) and not to eat anything for 5 days!?
i could never do anything like master cleanse. it sounds like a dangerous short term solution that would make me miserable, weak, starving and sick. seriously how can you not see that drinking only flavoured water for a week is a bad idea? don't put yourself through the misery! 5 pounds isn't that noticeable. i'm sure you will look gorgeous at the wedding with or without those pounds.
Yeah - well when you starve yourself binging is a very common reaction. I cant help you lose 5 lbs in a week but a moderate low salt diet will be more helpful than a cleanse. If you do lose 5lbs it will most likely be water weight any way. That is not exactly long term results. So to encourage the most water weight loss without starving yourself - avoid eating too much salt. Skip the box meals and eat real food. Drink lots of water. dont drink alcohol. Take some good vigorous walks and sleep well. If you are holding water these things will help you shed it more safely and more easily than a cleanse.
Emzie, take the pressure off and find a seamstress who will let your dress out an inch this week. I'm VERY sure the bride does not want you going though all this for her sake! In fact, I'm sure she'd feel terrible! Find a good seamstress, and she'll be able to make you look just as lovely without doing such awful things to your body. After the wedding you can look at starting an exercise routine and maybe cutting some sugars out of your daily intake, and those five pounds will come off in a month, I'll bet.
I feel you: a cake-binge at a family gathering is the worst! :-(
From what I've seen, it's rarely possible to stay the course when it comes to master cleanse. If you insist on restricting your eating over the next 5 days, please drink lots of purified water, fresh fruit and vegetable juice, homemade vegetable broth/gruel, etc. rather than using the master cleanse.
Also stay away from the alcohol. It will definitely make all your best laid plans go awry :/
That bridesmaid dress must fit like a 2nd skin if five pounds is an issue...
To put it bluntly, you're not going to find anyone on here that is going to give you advice on how to lose 5 lbs in 5 days. This site is for people that are looking to lose weight in a healthy and safe way.
If the 5# is so crucial then honestly what's going to happen if that dress is *that* tight when you're eating and drinking at the wedding? Unless you've got an industrial strength zipper in that dress it could be interesting to say the least.
Best advice is already here.. No salt, booze, or junk all week. If you drink water and leave out the sugary juices, sodas and such that will help also. And you could do more walking and cardio.
Me, personally... I'd get it taken out an inch and let that be the end of it. Killing yourself for 5# just isn't worth it.
There is no way you can lose 5lbs in 5 days - unless you really are obese. Just alter the dress, drink lots of water, and take it slowly.
If you starve yourself, you will binge. It's a mistake I made in the first month of my diet, too. Just take it slow, eat less but sensibly, and don't get yourself worked up. It's really not worth it.
There is nothing wrong with doing an occasional fast to cleanse out your system. However, it only works if you have self control. It seems that you are fine on your own but when faced with family, friends, food and booze you lose it. Let's say you meet your goal. Are you going to then binge at the wedding reception?
You might as well go get a body wrap or a series of body wraps and invest in some good shapewear (Spanx, Dr. Rey's etc.). You will lose inches from water weight with the body wrap. That's what a lot of stars do before they have red carpet events.

Yeah...she'll look great passed out on the floor in all the wedding photos because she starved and overexerted herself.
I sincerely hope you're kidding.

On prevention.com they have something called the flat belly diet. It is pretty much a few day meal plan that helps keep bloating down for occasions such as this, though it is NOT a starvation diet such as the master cleanse!
MC is used to clean your system not to lose weight im afraid. You get 1200 calories a day on it so your technically not starving. Its extreme definiteyl but i know people who have done it and seriously they look and feel amazing and have led them onto SUPER healthy living. not dieting, but healthy living due to loss of cravings for bad stuff. I intend to try it on Monday. I'll let you know how i get on good or bad. My intention of this post is not to be gunned but to share the info i have on it. Ive seen it first hand.
:) have a great day.
The Master Cleanse, some people swear by it, most of us on CC scoff at it. Make sure you're getting those 1200 calories of maple syrup and lemond aid. In general any diet that is done by the "stars" is not one that I would choose to follow. Any diet that is so unbalanced is not one that I would choose to follow. Eliminating major food groups and macro and micro nutrients tends to lead to binging when your body gets a chance to get what it needs.
BTW, body wraps should be done by a professional in a supervised environment, not by an individual with saran wrap at home.
The best way to look good for an upcoming event imo is to eat a healthy balanced diet, get enough sleep, drink enough water, cut down on sodium, get a moderate amount of exercise and above all enjoy the special occasion.
