Help! I seem to have attracted a virus!

So, I woke up yesterday morning with a scratchy throat. Assuming it was just morning dryness, I drank some water, forgot about it. Well, I woke up this morning, and it was worse. I definitely have a cold/cough/something. I tried going for a run, you know, to sweat it out hah, but had to cut it short at three miles because I was heaving too much.

I have to be better by FRIDAY (lollapalooza and my birthday!) I would appreciate ANY advice for cold busters. I know there's no cure, but I'm just looking for advice on what you guys do when you come down with a cold, i.e. drink a lot of fluids, Vit C, etc.

REST... no more exercise, drink lots of water to flush the germies out, and drink honey and lemon drinks.

If it's a virus there isn't much you can do, and you may not be 100% better by Friday (can take 7-20 days to clear a virus) but you should feel a little better I suspect. My trick for the throat pain is every night before bed take 3 Motrin. This helps with the throat inflammation as the fluids pool there during the night. You should wake up with a less sore throat. But of course check with your doctor first. Take care of yourself!

there is a powder you add to water called Emergen C. It is extra vitamin C to help you fight the germies.

Plus make sure you rest and drink lots of fluid
