It's 11am and I am having horrible cravings for a large unhealthy fast food meal... I need an alternative, I don't want to blow all my calories this early in the day!

here is a link to fast food meals under 500 cals.. some other ones ive learned along the way are:

arby's: ham and swiss melt is only 320 cals and you can get an applesauce with it for 80 cals

taco bell: chicken burrito supreme is 380 cals.

chickfila: grilled chicken club sandwich is 340 cals. not bad since it has bacon.. and it comes on wheat, is delicious, and they have fruit cups you can get on the side for 100 cals

or just get a kids cheeseburger or something. try to avoid the mayo wherever you go... :) hope this helps let me know how you end up doing!

Often times when I get cravings it is for familiar "comfort food" so I ask myself what it is that I am really craving...perhaps I have been skimpy with the protein or the fat.  Usually if I choose something that has a goodly serving of one of these items the craving goes away.

I keep eggs and cheese at work for the protein cravings and at home I will cook with some olive oil so that I add some good healthy oils into my diet.  I have found that this has eliminated those cravings.  For my sweet tooth, I put honey in a cup of tea or have an 80 calorie mug of hot cocoa.

So far no slip ups as long as I find out what my body is really craving.  I find that it is fairly stupid and will frame that need into a craving for something it is familiar with.

Thank you so much for the suggestions! It's off to chick-fil-a for me lol!

I think that fast food is definitely my weakness so the suggestions really helped me!!

I wish I had the will power to force myself to eat something else but sometimes being bad feels so good lol! I will try that next time!

If you are at home, and leave to get something from a fast food place, the only thing you need to do is order a bit more healthy. I don't have any desire to go to McD anymore, which is surprising to me. I do however go to Wendy's sometimes. They have cheap things (yay $1!), that if you get without mayo (still has ketchup and mustard I think) is very tasty and you can get a side salad also.

This is absolutely the worst case scenerio (if you can force yourself to order a sandwich that isnt fried and without mayo) if you order a sandwich and salad... drive ALL the way home, eat it, and still want more... you drive all the way back there, and order more food, then eat that.

If you force yourself to order the healthier option, how many times will you really drive all the way back to order more? Even if the next 5 times you do that before you are at home, and feel the sandwich and salad was enough - compare that to how many more times you would have just continued to order unhealthy the rest of your life.

I'll take those 5 mistakes vs the rest of my life with mistakes any day.
