Nah, finewine.. ix doesn't read replies. She'll just come back and repost the two to three reposes she's been posting to all the threads ;)
EDIT: and THEN, because you've replied (totally blowing my own point out of the water), she'll ask you again to make love to her sheep ;D

That's not true! Unless asking me if I like sheep is one of those posts...and if she's going around asking everyone if they like sheep, then by golly she's a weird one. That's ok though, weird people are COOL!! :-P
Heh.
I think she's weird anyways.
And, nah, I think she's just hitting on you ;)
(I'm so gonna get it... )

That is true...but what a strange pickup line. I'm gonna have to use that. "Sooo...how you doin? Come here often? You like sheep?" I'll get tons of ladies that way!! :-P
Well, perhaps if you go to Manitoulin Island, at least.
Or Scotland!
Or Scotland!
Thanks everyone!
Woww am so excited to go to the supermarket now!
Is the tinned fruit salad good for you??

caramel, i think the tinned fruit salad is packed in syrup- which is made either of corn syrup, in theStates, or 2 parts sugar to 1 part water everywhere else. ugh. tasty, but not really any better for you than a fruitcake.
one suggestin that's made repeatedly is "shop around the edges" of the store- that is, stay out of the aisles full of convenience food, except maybe to pick up some brown rice, etc.

some canned fruit is packed in a no-sugar-added syrup or a splenda based syrup. If artificial sweeteners don't bother you, try em out! I like the peaches and pears in splenda. Good stuff.
thanks...I'll try that 'shopping around the edges' thing! I'll also read the ingredients of the syrup too.
But I definatley need something, quick and easy for breakfast in a mornings. I usually have a banana and orange juice.
I love fish... do you think it'd be wierd to have a bit of tuna/salmon/trout on some rye bread for breakfast? or is that too rich for a morning meal?

The question is do YOU think it would be too weird to eat tuna on some rye bread for breakfast.
What we think doesn't matter :)

That's actually a good idea. I think a lot of meal choices are made out of perception of what you SHOULD eat. So eating fish for breakfast sounds weird cause people don't usually eat that. But hey, the fish will provide you with lots of protein, which is what your body needs to start the day right. So I think its a good choice...no different than eating an egg or two for breakfast!
Yeh - that so true Hkellick! I suppose its up to me and wot i like to eat..
Thanks Hkellick and Finewine ... your right ... only i know wot will work best

Yes - so true Finewine ! - having fish is like eating eggs .. its all protein!
caramell, I hope you'll join me and the others as a "perimeter shopper"
Here's my list for this week
Produce: Romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, cabbage, green beans, zucchini, peaches, blueberries, grapes, bananas
Dairy: low fat ricotta cheese, fat free milk, eggs (I only eat the whites)
Fish & meat: Cod & boneless, skinless chicken breast
In the aisles: Kashi Golean cereal, low sodium wheat thins, canned beans and tomatoes (no salt added), Kraft fat free Italian dressing, whole wheat mini pitas, brown rice
That should hold me for the week, except for fresh milk and lettuce in about 5 days time.

I buy a lot of produce (romaine lettuce, sprouts, plum tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, bell peppers (all colors), watermelon, organic bananas, green apples and grapes)... I also love eating couscous, yogart, green beans... stuff like that.
Especially now that it's summer time, light eating is important.

Thanks Finewine for posting that link, I've been selling at the Farmer's Market all day! I think I have given up on you developing a love for sheep! *wink* I mean if you don't love sheep, you probably wouldn't love any of the other crazy things on this farm, like organic produce, free electricity and living debt free.... the concept construction project and scientific experiments...
caramell21, I try to post copies of my grocery purchases in my journal, you are more than welcome to check it out.
Though do check out the list of The World's Healthiest Foods, a very great list and the ability to click on each food listed and find out why it is so special:
http://www.whfoods.com/foodstoc.php
(Just for HK, I posted the link again. Can't be a disappointment to you folks, even if I have selective reading! *wink* You folks don't really read all that I write either, right? I mean I do tend to go on and on and on... sometimes. Ok, most of the time.)
