HELP! Stress eating with 100#+ to loose?
I need some tips on how to stop eating out of,stress,boredom etc.... I do good for awhile but it is hard for me to keep it up and stay motivated.
I just dont buy it...if i dont buy it, its not availiable therefore i cant have it. Im one that needs to kepe my mouth busy i chew gum or drink water.
I also keep herseys bliss squares (lol my fav. or dove) in the freezer and when im like GGGAH IM BORED I NEED TO EAT. i go suck on one of them.lol.
One of the things that helps me is not to have quick grab foods in the house. Everything takes some time and thought so I'm not grabbing empty calories. I also occupy myself with some computer games if I'm not doing something I have to do. I'll also walk the dog or make myself a cup of hot tea and just go outside with her and watch her jump over the snowbanks (very entertaining, she's a Springer Spaniel). Sometimes to get away from it all I'll take a long hot bath (can't eat in the tub). And if all else fails I'll sit watch mindless TV and refuse to go to the kitchen and get food. I try to remember that this to will pass and tomorrow I'll feel good about myself for not giving in.

It's hard to stop stress eating cold turkey. One of the things that has helped me is to buy things that I am aloud to pig out on. I like strawberries, salads, Buddig deli meat, smart pop kettle corn, etc. If you redirect yourself to these kind of things to stay away from chips, fast food and baked goods, you will feel better about yourself and still cut calories away from what could have been. You could also try scheduling snacks throughout the day so you know at 10am and 3pm you can have a goodie. It will give you something to look forward to rather than going hungry. Good luck!!
