Help with TGI Fridays meal choice
Hi All, Going to Fridays tonight and cannot find nutritional info anywhere. Anyone have any menu suggestions that are lower cal and delicious. I have had the dragonfire chicken in the past but I want something different. I have allowed about 800 calories for tonight. Thanks in advance!!
TGI Fridays is one of those places that notoriously doesn't post its nutrition information (jerks...), but they do have several options that they tout as being "around 500 calories." I always opt for one of those. If you have 800 calories, that leaves you a little wiggle room to have a drink or a bite or two of an appetizer/dessert.
The Dragonfire Chicken is actually pretty good:
DRAGONFIRE CHICKEN
A fire–grilled chicken breast glazed with Chinese Kung Pao sauce, served over stir–fried brown rice with pineapple pico de gallo, Mandarin oranges and broccoli.
Did you check out that website?
I second that, the dragonfire chicken is good.
Thank you...yes I went to the website. I am thinking if the bruscetta chicken is still on the menu I may go for that for 500 cals..I always get the dragonfire chicken..I guess if all else fails I will go for the old standby. I hate that they dont give their nutritional info..even a round about estimate would be fine..I have seen that some of the burgers at those places are about 1500 cals by themselves..geesh thats bad ..who knows what else is hiding in their dishes. I also read somewhere that when you get beef or chicken at a restaurant they glaze it with BUTTER right before it comes out...that can add some mega calories!!

Thanks so much for the coupon...very thoughtful!
I always get the chicken salad (dont remeber the name!) with pecans and craisins and chopped celery but lose the blue cheese and ask them to just grill the chicken (otherwise it's done in a sauce/glaze) and dressing on the side of course...still very yum!
- SHRIMP KEY WEST
- HOUSE SALAD (no dressing, cheese or croutons)
- CHEF'S VEGETABLE SELECTION (ask if they are steamed - not in butter)
- JACK DANIEL'S CHICKEN (What you should try to do is ask for the jack daniel's sauce on the side and ask for extra vegetables instead of the mashed potatoes.
i looooove the chicken pot stickers as a meal.
super good
Thanks everyone for your recommendations..I had one of the chicken potstickers..100 cals...dragonfire chicken(old standby) 500 and a glass of chardonnay..145=745 so although it was a high calorie count for dinner I managed to keep it under 800 which is what I had reserved..lets just hope the calorie estimates arent too far off!! Thanks again..and alos duke2143..coupon was so helpful!!!Thanks!!!
