help! weekend binges!
Age, weight, height, gender?
How many calories are you consuming during the week?
How many should you be consuming each day?
Doesn't sound like binging to me, just sounds like some bad eating habits that need to change.
during the week i generally consume between 1200-1500 calories- i recently was under doctor supervision to lose weight (so far i've lost about 40 lbs) and they recommended that i try to stick to around 1500 or so. my eating habits are relatively good during the week- i avoid junk food, i don't drink alcohol, i try to take in a sufficient amount of protein and fiber, and i tend to guzzle water. it's just the weekends that kill me.
It's really hard when it seems like everyone else can eat whatever they want, but just stick with it! You're doing great.
If you are binge eating and out of control of your food consumption, you need to consult your physician PRONTO.
If it's the latter, the first step is to stop giving yourself permission to slack off on weekends. Either your healthy diet is important, or it isn't. We all crave an occasional treat, but that doesn't have to be binge drinking and an entire pizza. The first step to controlling your weekend eating is to limit your alcohol intake, so you are aware of your body's feedback. By all means, budget one or two beers with friends into your diet, but limit your drinking. If you allow yourself an indulgence or two and limit your drinking, I bet you'll find that your overeating becomes a thing of the past.
One thing I always find helps is exercise. After I'm physically active I have absolutely no appetite and can turn down any food for about an hour. I think if you went on a 30 minute jog when you feel a binge coming on will really help! Not to mention the exercise burns pretty good calories, so if you did end up binging after the jog, you would already have taken a chunk of calories out of the way.
but again that's what works for me. I hope my advice is helpful! =]
Alternate soda waters with lime between alcoholic beverages. Not that anyone besides you is keeping track of what you are drinking (and for the most part "they" don't care what you are drinking or what your scale says on Monday). Mixing in a no-cal drink may help space things out for you.
It does come down to your priorities. What you put in your mouth needs to be metabolized. Guess what - if you eat and drink more than you burn, you gain weight. The Buzz or The Butt? Your call.

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
