Help - writing career goals

Hi,

I need everyones help.  I am trying to start off a paragraph on career goals and for some reason I'm drawing a blank.  Any suggestions?  I am going for a management role and I need to write about my career goals for the next 5-10 years.  Obviously I would like to advance within my career and I definitely want to be here for the next 5-10+ years, but I'm struggling putting that into words....

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

I know this isn't the best topic to put out there but I really need some  help!

Short term and long term goals. I like using the GAME format. Gather Facts, Analyze, Make a Plan, and Evaluate the plan. In writing goals they have to be realistic, attainable, measurable and accountable. You don't want to make a blank statement like. I want to be my boss' boss. You have to have a plan to do that. It must include a way to measure success, it has to be realistic. Like you can't say that you want to do something that is very hard in a week or two. It must be attainable, and specific. I don't know what your doing this for so I may be including a too detailed plan. You will need an action plan as well if this is a formal goal. Give me some more info and I'll see how I can help you more.

 I am writing a letter of application and one of the questions reads "Describe your career goals for the next 5-10 years".  I basicly want to continue educating myself with managerial courses or attend workshops, but at the same time, I am hoping that by year 3, I can be in a supervisory role.  By the way, I work in an office.  Nothing fancy, but they are offering a program for people who are interested in becoming leaders within the organization.

This is where I struggle... I do not know how I should start my paragraph on this.  I need help constructing a very nice formatted paragraph.

Would I start:

I hope to see myself....

or

My career goals for the next 5-10 years include....

And then I would need some filling to that. 

I feel like I'm the kid asking my parents to do my homework, but I really need  some insight on this.

If you were asked this question, how would you answer it?
