I don't fight it :)  Just eat a little bit!  Get a small chocolate bar, or a fudgsicle, or one cookie.  If you deprive yourself you'll go nuts, or at least that's how I rationalize it.  Everything in moderation.
Eat a chocolate vita-top!!

Only 100 cals and totally satisfies the NEED!!

Or a child size frosty from Wendy's is like.... 150 cals I think (you may wanna check that!)
Mark a date on your calendar at least a few days in the future and tell yourself you'll have some then.

Chances are you'll change your mind by that time.

Abstinence always works better for me than small indulgences here and there, so that's my trick for when my usual avoidance is more difficult.
mini choc. help only abour 60 per
cup of hot coco. nice and hot, so you can sit and be comfy with it for a long time while your craving has time to move on... in your jammy-jamms, of course :)
alter it... have some sugar free pudding... around 60cals.

but sometimes you need THE REAL THING... in which case.. I just go for it to rid the craving.  I don't eat a LOT of chocolate... just savor the flavor ;)
just eat whatever you want.

pick out what you want
then pick out what exercise would burn it off.
do the exercise
then chomp

its a wonderful motivation to exercise too.

i like hershey bars - 200 cals
slimfast with espresso shots - 190 cals

both of those are less than 30 minutes on my bike.
totally worth it when you want choco-heaven.
Stay away....from chocolate?  *shudders*  I don't want to think about it much less try it.

I have chocolate everyday - my trick is to find out what I can work into my daily cals:  100 cal deep chocolate vitatop; 100 cal jello devil's food pudding; a couple of dark chocolate Godiva truffles; a couple of dark or milk chocolate Dove squares, chocolate covered strawberries....

The key is moderation!  ;-)
