Helppppp any advice? Anyone been here?
I am 40 and would love to lose 101 lbs. I have lost 25 lbs in the last 2years. Even though I know that's not much; it's a couple sizes and better then nothing. I'm 225 lbs now and back into my 18-20's. My question is " Will I look like a deflated ballon when I lose 70 or more pounds? Will I be able to shrink the flab? Will it go in? I have been fat for 22 years.
I had anerexia when I was a teen and everytime I try to diet " it controls me". My continuous exercising drives my hubby of 22 years crazy. This time I'm going to go slow and just aim at 2 lbs a week.
I had my 3 children by 21 and now have an empty nest. I'm back in college , work full time and eat out to much. I am a manager at a restarant
!
2 pounds a week, i think, is perfect. It leaves about 1k calorie deficit a day, but it isn't a "diet" in the traditional sense, its a way to live the rest of your life, healthy.
The food log here is great. I use mine religiously and it is helping me estimate very close foods when I do eat out. It helps you plan and the analysis helps you tweek your diet better, more fiber, less sodium, etc.
I don't know your height, so what would your BMI be at the weight you want? Is it reasonable?
As far as flab goes, everyone is different and I don't think there is anyway to know. I talked with myself and I agreed that even if I have left over skin or flabby arms or whatever when I'm done... then, that's how it shall be and I'll still be living longer and BETTER.
Welcome :)
Nursewannabee,
How nice to meet you. That sounds good. Look at the photo of the Success story. She doesn't look like a deflated balloon. She just looks like a thinner version of herself, so don't be afraid. Look at the photos of several of those losers!
