Are they as good as the labels make them sound? I got some the other day, and they seem to work for whatever reason. I am barely even hungry if I take enough. But are they safe? Is there any damaging effects to something like that? I wouldn't think so, since it is herbal stuff, but I know how wrong I can be too!

dont know what it is them and herbal is usually ok but there are some really strong herbs out there that can be iffy. look up the ingredients on the web.
If herbal diet pills were safe, they wouldn't keep getting banned. "herbal" is a way to sneak past the FDA. Remember, the coca plant is an herb. Ephedra is an herb. Both cause MASSIVE internal changes, strokes, heart attacks... And you're supposed to be eating something, remember?
Ok.. Honey.. Herbal is not all herbal, if you can read some of the words on the label, and then get some words that you never heard of in your life. That means. There special junk is added.. Nothing is ever 100%...
I take a few diet adds but that is under the care of an doctor. If you go for diet adds, you have to let your doctor know what you are taken. Get his or her OK..
Taken them pills can mess you up. They can have you weak, and looking like you don't have life at all.. Make you look zoned out. Zonked out too.
1,200 calories to 1,300 calories are good for you.
My doctor has me eating.. These calories offset each week. I eat 1,200 one week, and 1,300 the next. You need to talk to your doctor and get on a balanced diet like united said.
Every one needs a hug.. ((((((HUGS)))))
You are going to be just fine.

If you are not under a doctor's supervision, they can also mess up your metabolism in the future.
"The federal government doesn't require that the ingredients in any herbal product be tested for effectiveness, much less safety -- and some are far from pure or safe. More than 180 deaths have been linked to herbs and supplements over the last few years, according to the Food and Drug Administration, which oversees dietary supplements"

Remember the labels are trying to drive sells, just another part of the overall advertising effort. The companies are trying to make a profit, so of course they are going to try and make them sound safe, healthy, and natural. These words aren't regulated, anyone can use them in a marketing campaign (of course it becomes a question of ethics, but most companies could care less and are just trying to make money).
I would be worried about something that makes you feel bearly hungry because they are some how interfering with your bodies natural process- and you don't know what else this could be doing to your body. Lots of things are herbel and can kill us (what about all of those poisonous plants out there? or tabaco?)

" Weight Loss Supplements - "Natural" or "Herbal" Not Always Safe
Just because a weight loss supplement claims to contain herbal or natural sounding ingredients, this does not imply greater safety. The 'natural' ingredient ephedra (ephedrine, ma huang) has been implicated, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), in hundreds of illnesses, including: heart attacks, seizures and strokes. Ephedra compounds have powerful and potentially lethal stimulant effects on the central nervous system and the heart. There are several other high-risk 'natural' or 'herbal' ingredients that appear in weight loss supplements."
"Weight Loss Pills - Little Testing
In general, weight-loss pills have been subjected to very little long-term testing. Research indicates that risks of weight loss drugs like fenfluramine, phentermine, and dexfenfluramine may increase dramatically the longer the drugs are used. In addition, the drugs produce minimal weight loss, and upon discontinuing the use of any of the drugs, the weight is virtually always regained. Further, anecdotal evidence suggests that impatient consumers eager to speed weight loss frequently take multiple, more dangerous doses of weight-loss drugs. Vulnerable consumers have also been misled and harmed by unregulated herbal, so-called "natural," weight-loss drugs."
good luck!! :)
