Herbalife

Well this week i really started to take my weight loss seriously.  My BF suggested that I try herbalife.  It is expensive (cost me 105.00 for one month of shakes and vitamins), but if i lose the weight it will be worth it.  But, financially I am not sure I can keep it up for a long period of time.  We will just have to wait and see.  I was just wondering if anyone on here has tried the herbalife and if you had any suggestions.  I am finding that I am snacking more than I ever did.  Yes, I am keeping them healthy snacks...all fruits and veggies...but still I feel like I am eating soo much more.  So I just wondered if anyone on here has had an herbalife story to share.  Thanks...angi

I do not have a specific herbalife story but I tried metabalife for a while.  hahahahaha they were like SPEED! My house had never been so clean and then I crashed and not only did the 10 lbs I had lost came back but they brought 10 friends with them.  At one point when my hubby was working doubles he used the rest the bottle to keep himself awake LOL

LOL!!  The hardest thing i am finding with this plan is that u have a shake for breakfast and lunch.  the taste isnt that bad but they dont really fill u up so i am not sure but i think i am eating more than i did when i wasnt on the shakes.  they are not high in calories so i guess i am doing ok but right now i am only drinking one shake a day.  i need food.  i know it sound odd but simply drinking a meal only makes me think of food til it is time to have a snack.

Be careful with them, hon. :) I was a Herbalife Distributor and I have to say, after trying the diet (because who wants to buy it from a heavy woman? That looks convincing) I mentally did not feel well. I had no energy or anything unless I spent the extra money for their energy drinks. Once I signed up for Herbalife and saw just how their money system works I instantly knew that it was a money thing for that company, which is why I have chosen not to sell the products anymore. Drinking the shakes twice a day does indeed give you the protien you need if you take all the multivitamins, but compared to a normal, consistent diet that teaches you how much you should eat (portions) and of what you should eat for the rest of your life, it's not that great. The diet is not horrible, don't get me wrong, but not that great. Admit when you are fifty years old you won't exactly want to be drinking those diet shakes to keep the weight off (which they ask you to drink one a day and their vitamins to keep it off) but you'd rather be able to cook a fresh meal for your family, and simply be able to eat and enjoy and know your portions instead of overdoing it. Besides, when you eat the right smaller portions, your stomach will shrink and eventually the right portions will make you full. That's what's so hard about starting a diet, the smaller portions leave your stretched out tummy not so full until it shrinks after a few weeks.

thank u for posting.  i am just not sure i want to to keep doing the herbalife program at all.  i find that counting my calories seems to be working to.   i dont mind the shakes for breakfast becuz breakfast is a meal that i never used to eat at all.  so that is a good thing for me.  but thanks for being candid about it.

don't waste your money it's boring after a couple of weeks and making those shakes all the time that's allot of work.  I did it and even became a rep (to save money or so i thought) needless to say i did lose a few pounds in the beginning during the enthusiastic phase but it wore off as they all have when you have to do that much extra work and still expected to eat other foods too. Save your Money and remember eat less calories and exercise more is the only way you'll lose weight. Good Luck

jus started herbalife too !! To tell u the truth I think its a money grab as well!! they got me outta 200 for jus 1 months supply of shakes and extra protein powder! It sucks cuz its almost been a month and still no weight loss! I jus joined weight watchers for a 5 month membership its $200 the same as 1 month @ hebalife.............at least with WW I can eat regular food and if I follow the plan loose the wiight I want  !!

A local Herbalife distributor here in my area has secretly had gastric bypass surgery, and very successful with Herbalife, lol.  Funny tho, everyone I know that used the products she sold them gained back everything they lost initially!  Like all diets, without a permanent lifestyle change, it's only a temporary fix IMHO.

A simple multi-vitamin and a protein powder supplement are about the same, except for the huge cost you'll be saving.

You can check out my post on someone asking about Isagenix.

Both of these do not focus on long-term weight loss. They are a fad.

The only way to lose weight is to consume less than you expend.

What are you paying for with this product? MLM, you are not paying for the product, you are paying for the profits.

You can pretty much ask 1 question about any product that is dressed nicely: what is MAIN ingredient ingredient? You don't need to pay $2 a shake for protein powder. Whey protein isolate (IMHO, the best type of protein) is about $8 a pound or less - with each serving (1 oz) containing about 25 - 30 grams of protein. That is the cost of protein: 40¢ - 50¢ per oz, the rest is additives you don't need and profit at every step.

Been there, done that, have the size 4x T-shirt.

PS  If I am remembering the correct product:  NRG has gurana which is a caffiene type product.  Those who cannot have caffiene due to heart problems should not use this product.

I found that out the hard way.

It is a waste of money and you will lose weight but gain it back when you quit.

A waste of a LOT of money.

All my opinion as an exherbalife dealer and overweight person.

I do like some of their other products.
