Since no stepped up to be our team leader I thought I would at least start a thread to see how everyone is doing. I hope that is ok?
So how is everyone doing? We are going to win this week right?
So, last night I had to get my taxes done. I have been putting it off for weeks. I came home so frustrated (ok, actually so unbelievably ticked off...I mean how can I get that much money taken out of my pay each week and still OWE?) Well, that's another story. Anyway, all I wanted to do was grab a beer, a plate of nacho's and anything else I could think of, and eat and drink all night. But I didn't. I thought of my teammates and instead I ate chicken, broccoli and splurged on some popcorn. I just wanted to say thanks to you guys. Thinking about this challenge really helped. I would have been so upset with myself (and probably massively hungover!! LOL) this morning and instead - well I am just still p*ssed about the taxes!!!

I still haven't done my taxes yet! I'm waiting on one more W-2 that apparently was lost in the mail. I thought I had all of them, sat down at the computer, and it wasn't in the stack! I'm getting nervous. I called them about a week ago, and they said it's coming, but I still haven't gotten it.
However, as far as everything else goes, I'm doing well. Still trying to get a better balance of carbs/proteins/fats. My food is very carb heavy (though they're good, complex carbs). And I'm down, weight-wise, again today. :-D

HEY! A thread for the Downsizers! Yay! Mominpa, are you sure you don't want to be teamleader?
I'm pretty okay. I was 275 for a while, and suddenly dropped to 272, but then I gained a half a pound back thanks to too much sodium. But I've been getting my 30 mins of walking in every day, AND! I just started the Slim in 6 program, and it's fun!
Last night, I had some jordan almonds, and I was about to wallow in guilt, but then I remembered that it's okay sometimes to have candy, and I hadn't had any in TWO WEEKS! But those jordan almonds are less calories than you think, and they're rated a C, so they're not SO bad, huh? (I only had 5, heh heh heh.)
But that's 60 mins of walking for me so far, and a loss of 2.5lbs, so I'm not doing so bad.

Hey everybody I finally found You. I'm staying with good choices, no sweets, no beer, no sodium ready for my morning walk. very gloomy outside today but that wont stop me I'm here to win for THE DOWNSIZERS! Cause I'm going down. So I hope we all have our walking shoes on and joining me for an 1 hour walk. Bye
Hello, Team well I did it 1 1/2 hour walk. I walked up hill streets and back. I live on 28th street I walked to 5th street did some grocerie shopping and back taking the hills again. I have this one hill that I avoid I call it THE 911 WHY? because it's a straight up hill climb. I'm ok, feel I got a good sweat. Came in had a tall glass of non fat milk. Thanks for the info on weighting in Paganmist. I will weigh in on Saturday Morning. Crossing my fingers that I'm doing well.
Let's KEEP ROLLING TEAM...How did YOU do today?

To Mominpa, Thank you for starting a thread. I'm doing great as you can read a had a great walk today.
Awesome! I got in an "official" 30 minute walk today, brisk strides and such, and then I ran around with my daughter outside trying to fly a kite, and hit two grocery stores AND got in a 25-minute workout (Slim in 6.) If I keep this up, I might not be allowed to call myself sedentary anymore, heh heh heh.
So this was a good day for me, even though every time I go to therapy I walk out crying. You know how cops have a supposed parking ticket quota? I wonder if therapists have a crying-in-session quota...
So that's 30 minutes for me every day this week, but I think we're only officially counting from Wednesday, since I didn't announce the challenge until Tuesday.
Hey, LOVEN_HEARTS_IS_GOOD volunteered to be the team leader for the Downsizers, which is the total awesome! I'm just peachy with that!

Hey Down sizers!
I am doing very well with my eating, is it ok to sub the walking for some other exercise? Unfortunately it has been really nasty weather and one of my little ones is a little sick!
I just found this site and I am very excited because "support" was the one thing I was always missing! These "challenges" are sure to help! Thanks!!!

Hey, saza! Yeah, anyway you want to get it in, even if it's on a treadmill, or up and down some stairs, that's fine!
Mominpa, good for you for not letting temptation get to you.
I won't be required to do my taxes until this fall when my hubby gets home from Iraq, so I can't say I feel your pain.
I had kind of a rough day yesterday though, and I came home wanting to just become one with the couch. Instead of lazing around and moping, I went for a bike ride/walk with some friends and I felt much better. Something about walking on a nice, warm evening and smelling all the spring flowers just makes everything all right. :D

Hello, everybody good luck to you and lets kick some ###.
ourlady - I've got a guy overseas too, but not in Iraq... sorry to hear your hubby's over there. Mine just works on supply line stuff, providing vehicles and resources. He's at Camp As Saliyah, if your hubby's ever gone there for relief.
How long has he been gone? Mine's been for a year, in May.

Good Morning Team! Sounds like everyone is doing good. Saza, if the weather is bad of course do your thirty minute routine in doors like paganmist said Stair's or treadmill if you have one. Also, a big calorie burner is just chasing the little one for thirty minutes is good (: I remember those day's to well. I was a Team mom of a basketball boy team and a coach for a girls team lot of running around.
Still gloomy weather It's not all that bad The gloom hasn't stopped me from taking my walk. Since it's good friday and spring break for kids. I have my granddaughter here today. She doesn't like to go anywhere. In order to get my walk in today I had to buy one of her painting's and a Plastic Easter egg. So I had to pay for my walk for today. Kids are something!
Gloom, Doom nor granddaughter will stop me from being the Number 1 Team!
Are you ready <<<Yelling>>> TEAM! GET WALKING..na na na - na na na na START WALKING <<<sing>>> Those shoes were made for walking and that's what WE're going to do cause the Downsizer's are coming after U...Naaa naaa naaa...

I don't know, she didn't seem to want to be team leader so much as she wanted there to be a thread... makes it kind of difficult to edit the first post for you, but that's okay, just edit your topmost post to reflect any updates and such, and that should be fine.
UNLESS mominpa DID want to be team leader, I hope I didn't step on any toes!

Tuesday, 30 minutes walking.
Wednesday, 30 minutes walking.
Thursday, 30 minutes walking.
Friday, 30 minutes walking.
I'm getting in my thirty minutes! They're OFFICIAL minutes, because I've been on my feet pretty non-stop over the past few days, and I'm pretty sure I've done more walking than that. Which is such a difference from sitting on my butt in front of the computer for hours and hours and hours on end.

My honey is at LSA Anaconda, and we just celebrated our "halfway there" party. Six more months, and he'll be home!
