A 'normal' healthy weight is between 20 and 25 BMI.  Below 19 and that's when medical problems are most likely to start.  Below 18.5 and that's clinically underweight.  So you're at the low end of a healthy weight and therefore don't need to lose any.

5lbs will make no difference whatsoever to your appearance or your health.  Skipping meals, on the other hand, and eating a poor diet (no vegetables, no fruit etc... ) is much more likely to leave you feeling below par.

Good nutrition is important when your body is still developing and growing from a girl's body to a woman's.  Who's to say 5'3" is your final height?  Maybe you're getting taller?   Exercise is also important for long-term health.  So rather than trying to lose weight when you don't need to, how about thinking more about getting regular meals (especially breakfast) with a good variety of healthy foods.... 5-a-day fruit and vegetables and so on.... and also some daily exercise?   That way you'd be healthier, more toned and possibly less concerned about your weight... more confident.

Good luck

I don't eat breakfast for many reason including that I don't have time.

I don't eat "lunch" either because school food is nasty.

I can only eat what my parents buy me to eat. I try to eat vegtables all the time but they don't buy a lot of fruits..

I doubt I am still growing taller because I have been 5'3 since I was like 14 and my mom is only 5'3 too...

Oh yeah I forgot to add that I have gym 1 hour a day 5 days a week and I also do other exercizes at home like going for walks...

Its not that I am that concerned about my weight its the fact that I usually wiehg 110 and I tend to gain weight over the school year and I don't want to have ended up gaining like 15lbs by the end of the school year...

we have pretty similar stats, i'm 5'4" though and weigh a little less but you don't really need to lose any weight to be honest.. if anything you should just focus on toning up and eating clean. drink plenty of water, exercise (both cardio and strength training) 3-5 times a week and follow a balanced diet of mostly protein, healthy fats and non-junk carbs. cycle your calories day-to-day, making sure you don't drop them too low and give yourself a treat day once in a while. you might gain a couple of WATER WEIGHT pounds at first.. but it's not fat and will quickly wash out, be patient. weigh yourself every morning, track it and forget about it.. your weight will fluctuate a lot, it's normal.. especially for females. take your body measurements once a week and keep track of them. inches lost are what you want to focus on! burn your fat and you will be lean Smile message me if you need anything else.. good luck!

Gi-jane has very good advice. You are already very slim, so you should try to eat healthier rather than worry about the number on the scale. (and when was the last time you measured your height? You might have grown.)

It sounds like you might not be eating enough food. You should really try to eat breakfast, even if it means getting up five minutes earlier for a bowl of cereal, and you should also pack a lunch--again, if you're busy do it the night before. You're not eating any substantial calories until 3pm, and your body is active for hours before that without much fuel. You should also ask your parents to buy more fruits and veggies.

'Not enough time' isn't really a good excuse for skipping breakfast.  You could prepare something the night before and get up a few minutes earlier than normal to eat it, for example.  And if school lunches are nasty then make a packed lunch (also the night before) which includes some healthy snacks like fruit and yoghurt.  A simple sandwich with some meat and salad in the middle would be a great choice.

If your parents don't tend to buy fruit and vegetables then how about having a word with them? Sometimes mums just get into a habit of putting the same old things in the trolley and don't think to change until there's a prompt.  No parent is going to be annoyed if their child asks them to put a bag of apples or carrots in the shopping trolley.   They're not exactly expensive.  You're old enough that you could also offer to cook meals from time to time.   Then you could make healthier things perhaps?

If you take a more proactive role, eat better food and more regular meals and if you exercise daily you're much more likely to control your weight short-term and long-term.  If you just go along with the idea that everyone else is in control of what you eat then you'll find it more difficult.  Good luck

According to the "kids" bmi page -- your weight loss goal will not put you in an underweight category.  Having said that; however, your "diet" does not sound healthy.  Not only are you NOT getting enought variation in it, it appears to be lacking several major nutrients -- "maybe a vegetable" is kind of scary.

Go to mypyramid.gov and do the worksheet -- it will tell you exactly how much/how many veggies, fruits, grains, etc, you should be eating.  Show it to your parents -- let them discover how they are affecting your current and future health.

According to the "kids" bmi chart -- you should be eating 2200+ calories per day -- regardless of when you start eating, you don't appear to be coming close to that.

Just because you are a healthy weight and you exercise does not mean you are healthy -- many more factors go into that than simply weight and exercise.
