Anyone else about my height and weight?  I now weigh 188 lbs.  That is more than I have ever weighed!  I have two boys and that is about what I weighed when I gave birth both times! Oh, that is so terrible.  I'm just tired of not fitting in my clothes anymore and just want to be healthier! The scale has been my worst enemy and I have tried to avoid it like the plague.  When I finally weighed myself I just couldn't believe I let my weight get that bad. Surprised   My goal is to get to 150, which I think for my height is a good healthy weight.

I'm 5'1 & 188.  I have a boy & a girl.  This is a lot more than I weighed when I was pregnant.  I know just how you feel about clothes not fitting.  I will hit the big 4-0 this summer so I want to lose 40 pounds by then.  My husband and I both decided we need to be healthier so we're in this together.

Hi simz123!  That is really good that you have the support of your husband.  It helps when you have someone else in your household also trying to lose weight.  My husband and boys love sweets.  So.........we always have junk food in the house.  I try to keep a hidden stash of "healthy" junk food for me when I have a craving for something sweet.  Good luck on you weight loss goals!  Today is my fourth day and I'm about to leave for work (really wanting to stop on my way and get a big fat greasy sausage biscuit), but I'll munch on my apples and oatmeal instead!

Hi, I am 5'7, medium frame and 195lbs. For my bone size I want to get down to about 165. I carry my weight very well but I know that i am not healthy. I live in SC and I also need buddies to keep me motivated.

That is cool.  I live in TN.  We actually went to SC last May on vacation.  We went to Charleston.  I just love it there! I really would like to go back.  I'm going to add you as my buddy :)

Hi, mel-mel!

I am 5'6", 181, 35 years old. I too weigh about what I did when my kids were born (two boys, 12 and 8). My goal weight is 150, too. We have a lot in common Smile

Support is so important to stay on track! Maybe we can share ideas and suggestions. I look forward to hearing about your progress!

Hi, mel-mel!

I hated scales too and refuse to get on one for four years!  The last time I weighed myself i was ten kilograms over weight (22 pound).  Now I am 30kilograms over weight.  I am taller - 5' 9" so used to be able to carry a little extra weight quite well.  Not any more!!!  I need to lose about 30% of my body mass to get down to my ideal weight which is 154 pounds.  I am aiming to do it slowly over the next 18 months with lots of mini goals and rewards for myself.  I have never ever really dieted before - yesterday was the first time i ever counted calories.  I got quite a shock when i realised how many calories were in the low fat meals that i'd been cooking up - I would have still been putting on weight months from now if I hadn't looked up the net for a cclorie counter.

hope you'll add me to your list of friends.

Thanks to all of you who have responded to my posting.  I believe I have added all of you to my buddy list.  It is such a good thing when doing this to have support of people going through the same thing!
