Alright so I'm 5'6, 15 yrs old and i weigh about 125-127 lbs. My goal is to lose 10lbs or so by the beginning of March. Please don't tell me that I would be at an unhealthy weight because when I used to dance I weighed 100 lbs at the same height and I was really muscular so it looked good- not too skinny at all. So basically I went from dancing at least 20 hours a week and eating everything in sight to doing absolutely nothing and continuing to eat like nuts 2 years ago and gained a good 20 lbs over the course of a year. I guess I'm a bit of a perfectionist but I hate how i look in a lot of my clothes and i just want to change that. I've lost quite a bit of fat and gained back some of my muscle but I'm still not fully confident. Is there anybody who wants to join me in HEALTHILY losing weight? I could really use some motivation =)

So why do you want to lose weight? Like do you have any main motivations or anything?

 i used to have major self-confidence issues but now i totally think im pretty. not conceited, i promise!

BUT

i wanna be hot. i think i have really nice curves, i just need tose weight then id be drop dead gorgeous. ;)

im 17 y.o. 5'2' wanna weight 105-120 pounds. i have awhile to go though :(

im 143 starting weight was 175, so i know how can do it! :D

Hey, if you need someone else for motivation, I'm 17, 5'4, and weigh 127, want to get down to 115 by the beginning of March as well (that's when I start uni).

Our stats and goals are pretty similar and I need the motivation too!

So what are you guys doing in terms of exercise and eating?

p.s im going away soon to an all inclusive resort! ahah lets hope i dont gain 10 pounds while i'm down there.

& I think we should have a weigh in every little while to keep us motivated-but that's just me.

umm i dont do much excerize. :(

i just cut cals. what about you two?

i do 90 minutes hot yoga like 3 times a week .. but im going to try going more often throughout the new year.

As for calories - i'm really confused as to how many i should be cutting down to.

Would you say 1600 is too little?

For 15, 1600-1800 is probably a good number of cals to stick to. Up until this year I was playing soccer 5 or 6 afternoons a week, then I had a hip injury so I couldn't play this year and had massive weight gain, also I finished school this year and was working most nights anyway so I didn't have much time to do any kind of weightbearing exercise, so now my hip is still really weak and, admittedly, I haven't been doing too much to help it.

 My dilemma is that even though I've now finished school I usually work from about 5-10ish every night, and around 5 or 5.30 is the perfect time to run, and I can't afford a gym membership (just bought a car, argh) so I have to do something about my hours at work and get off my ass! I really want to be toned and fit before Uni starts!

 I think weigh-ins is a really good idea, I vote on a friday or a monday?

hey! I'd love to be your buddy =) i don't have any buddies on here yet cause I'm kind of new. I'm 19, 5'5", 123 lbs. I'd love any tips or advice and just general motivation and will of course provide the same =)

Alright weigh in sounds like a plan. I vote Mondays because then maybe i'll be less likely to pig out on the weekends.

I'm Italian so last night was a pretty big deal for my family haha we had a feast. But I was pretty goodin terms of eating & i did 90 minutes of yoga so I'm pretty happy bout that. Today though might be just as challenging- TURKEY DINNER!

As for tips... drink ALOT of water-cause I'm sure you haven't already heard that one...

I hope you guys all have a great Christmas & i guess should we do our first weigh in next monday? or should we start after the break?
If we do it this coming Monday I know I'll probably be more motivated to not eat the tempting leftover pie in my fridge ;) haha
Do you guys want one more perchance? I've been looking for a group around my age to join... I'm 19 almost done with the weight loss process but worried about maintaince.  I can offer alot of advice about exercise and nutrition.  I've been a vegan for the past couple of months and an avid exerciser for years.  Already been through the freshman 15 (ahem 20 lol) and lost it.  Basically I'm just looking for some support, motivation and new ideas.

Okay so it's settled ... this coming monday is our first official weigh-in.

Yea man of course you can join. Btw 20 lbs, thats really good! How long did it take you to lose that much? & how many calories are you currently getting cuz im SO confused bout how many i should be getting. Any tips are definitely appreciated =)

Hey guys, how did christmas go? I over-ate and was quite happy to do so! But I've started dieting again today.

I reckon weigh ins start the monday coming? By the way, does anyone have msn or anything? Might be easier to lend support and such!

 Do you guys have any rules or anything when dieting? Or do you just try to eat healthier and exercise more?

hey guys, btw, i'm confused too about how many calories i should be getting! any advice on the matter would be much appreciated! right now i'm getting around 1200-1500 a day, which cc recommends, but i feel like it's a lot... idk!

i found out something interesting the other day about body fat percentage and stuff. i was thinking i would try to lose about 10 more pounds, but i took my measurements and estimated my body fat percentage to be around 14%, which for a woman is really low- it's supposed to be 22%-25% ideally- but might explain why although i feel pretty thin and good, the SCALE says i weigh more than i think i should. lol that rhymed! any thoughts? muscle does weigh significantly more than fat right?

hey guys are we doing weigh-in today?

if so, i have some semi-bad news to report, as although i was 122 yesterday morning (same-old, same-old), i am about to get my period so i gained 5 lbs of water weight yesterday/last night.... it's always really drastic like that. sigh.

hope everybody else has some good news to report =] 

It's TOTM for me so i didn't even bother weighing myself haha
