Hello, i really need help with this goal to loose 38lbs!
I just love to eat and wish I didnt have to restrict myselft to good foods, so ideas on low calorie foods are great.
My family calls me Jay and I live in Savannah, GA
Happy to have found this site and its many groups!

Hello Jay,
Joining CC is the first step, was you able to get your numbers from the web? After that is routine, login calories, Getting help when you need and motivation.
If you need a push just ask.
Hello Jay,
First, remember, no worries! You can do it! You have to WANT it !! And I think you do
..
As you have learned here, food consumption is real simple: calories in, calories out. Think about -everything- you are eating.
The first step, at least for me, was to think about snacking.. I LOVE to snack!
Some healthy snacks are as follows:
Almonds (in moderation)
Celery (a "negative" calorie food!)
Carrots
Nonfat Yogurt w/1 splenda packet & a few strawberries
Oscar Mayer Ham/Turkey Slices (6 pieces on 45 cals w/lots of protein)
Pickles/Pickled Okra
As far as meals, look up new salad ideas! My favorite is this one-
Romaine & Spring Mix Salad
>1/4C Low Fat Blue Cheese Crumbles
As many strawberries as you want
>1/4C Pecans
Lite Walnut Rasberry Vinagrette
=One delicious & filling Lunch!
For Dinner, try a salad with grilled shrimp and use Salsa (10 cals per 2 tblsp) as the dressing. It's delicious!
And, if you're like me, you like a snack before you go to bed..
Try special K Red berries with 1% or Nonfat Milk. Also, the special K cerel bars are a sweet treat at 90 cals per bar.
I hope this can get you started.. I've lost 25 lbs 6 months and have kept it off.. *crossing fingers*. Allow yourself some wiggle room. Don't be too hard on yourself. If you mess up one day, wake-up & realize it's a new day!
AND, Don't forget.. It WILL pay off!!!! Just give your body time to readjust! It will happen.. I promise!
