I was weighing myself everyday. But, I was watching the Oprah show the other week and they had an "expert" on ...(I don't know how true this is)   He mentioned that when we first start dieting we should not step on the scale for the first 2 months. And after that we should weigh weekly only. I tried.. but the scale keeps calling me.. Mouse... Mouse... Come step on me!! lol
I think that holding off the scale for 2 months is just so you can truly enjoy that feeling of knowing that you've lost all of that weight already... that way it doesn't seem like it took any time to lose it at all. When I first started dieting at 160 and got down to 145, there was no scale in my house, and when I finally had the chance to get on a scale I was amazed and highly motivated to keep at it. Sadly, I'm now 180 and joining the 170's club because my weight bounces back and forth between 178-180... I'm still waiting for the weekly weigh-in to be sure, though! I'd still say it's fine to weigh in every week. Every day is a bit much, since weight varies from day to day and time of day/month/season/etc. Getting too obsessed with the number on the scale will probably just make you more stressed, less motivated, and waste the precious seconds of your valuable time. :)
I think once a week is about the best.  I was in the bad habit of weighing every day (and sometimes two or three times during a day.  Your weight can fluctuate from several times during the day and also over a day or two although you may end up with a net weight loss for the week.  I usually ended up getting frustrated if the scale even went up a few ounces during a day or at night.
177 baby and its comin down to 165
Just checking in, after a few weeks between 178-179 I finally moved down to 177.  Only 1lb or so but at least it moved in the right direction.
Happy Monday!  I lost four pounds this week!!!  I'm down to 164.  I think starting this week I'll be more in the 1-2 pound range, but I had a lot of water weight and swelling from some of my meds.  The black cherry water, hot lemon juice and green tea are finally working!!!!
As of Sunday I'm at 180.2... sooo I'm very close to joining this club!! Hopefully by next week! *crosses fingers*

Lost half a pound this week to 176.5.

I was on holidays so I'm very happy with that!! :)

171 as of today, thats 10 lbs since 7/10, I'm hoping for the 160's soon. Especially since I'm promised a very romantic evening with my husband when I break 170. 155 here I come!
i go between 176 and 179 (182 with clothes on and such). hope i fit into the category. i'm glad to be in the 170's, i don't look OBESE anymore, just overweight. i can't IMAGINE what i'm going to look like at 130. I'm kind of afraid of saggy skin to be honest :/
I'm in.  170 here.  Down from 199 at the end of May, but that doesn't count because I had a baby and lost 30 lb almost immediately :) 

I'm just getting started.  My target weight is lower than I've been since high school.  I'm not sure I'll ever make it that far.  I really struggle with long-term committments and have zero willpower.

Right now I'm trying to find a workout buddy who will help keep me motivated and accountable.  I think that's my biggest area of potential for improvement.  I want to be healthy and able to keep up with my two young active children.

I am 5'11" and at 174 and my goal is 160.  I just started this whole CC thing about a week ago, but I am getting married next year and need something to keep me honest(!) because I will cheat.

So, here's to the 170's/160's club!

Hi everyone, I'm at 170.2 and in desperate need of some motivation! I only joined today so I'm just browsing through the forums seeing what I can pick up from you guys :)
WOOOHOOOO!!! I FINALLY made it!!!!!! 178.6 lbs as of this morning!!!!!!!!! *does a happy dance* ooh plus, another 1/2 inch off my waist!!! Yay!!! I'm soooo happy!!! 160's club.... here i come!
