Hey y'all....from Central MO

Wow, I never thought I'd be doing something like this, but somewhere in the hustle & bustle of daily life, my weight took over my life.  Like so many others, I work at a desk all day and commute about an hour a day, so you'd think I'd want to go home and get active, right?  Wrong.  I go home and eat the wonderful food my wife cooks for me, then I sit in front of the tv or the computer for a couple of hours at a time.  The worst part is that my lack of motivation has nothing to do with a lack of energy.  I have oodles of energy, but no motivation to expend any of it doing something worthwhile.  In 2005 & 2006, I lost about 80 lbs while supporting my wife in her fight for life...She started at 643 lbs and now weighs only 350; she did it all with diet and exercise.  But, now that she has lost all of this weight, she doesn't seem motivated to go any further.  Unfortunately, when she's not motivated, I have a helluva time getting motivated by myself.  But I'm done making excuses.  I have a punching bag, all of the proper safety equipment for a boxing workout, a dumbbell set, and a convertible weight bench, so it's time for me to 'Just Do It'!  In my younger years, and before it was fashionable, I fought mixed martial arts; Maybe, just maybe, it's time to get back in the ring......

You go, Boy! Welcome to CC! I haven't been on long but loving it. I'm from SW Missouri, 30 miles east of Springfield. I have to work to keep my motivation up to & my husband doesn't help. He's disabled but works part time. He hates being by himself all day so he just wants to be with me at night. I don't blame him but I really need to do this. I'm tired of having 2 stomachs. I bent over the other day & he asked me what that was below my breast & above my stomach ( he doesn't mean anything by it). I told him that was my other stomach & why I' doing what I'm doing. I'm a nurse & really don't want to end up diabetic. I see too much of that every day. Stay motivated!Smile

Thank you for the support......I am originally from SW Missouri, moved up here from Springfield....It's nice to know that someone else out there knows what I'm talking about.......
