Hi, my name is bill. I'm new to calorie count though I am not new to weight loss. Back at the beginning of 2006 I weighed just over 300 lbs which at 5'6" was well unhealthy to say the least. My big holy crap moment came when I saw pictures of myself from Christmas 2005. So from that point on I started to manage my eating--but I didn't do much exercise. So my weight loss was slow and steady for a short while and then it stopped. I got down to about 270 or so.
Then early last year I started exercising--walking and aerobic exercises. I got all the way down to 195 by Christmas. That was just 35 lbs short of my goal.
Then I got divorced.
Now over the last 8 months my weight has swung back up to 230 lbs. Mostly this is due to the depression over the breakup as well as overall stress from moving across country. Plus I haven't really done much to keep my weight down. In fact, I seem to have been sabotaging myself.
But now I've made a new commitment to losing the weight again. I've started exercising again, taking long walks and doing my aerobic exercises and some weightlifting.
I know I can do this as I've done it before.
Thanks for listening.
Welcome and good luck,
Ax
