Posted a quick hello in different forum and then saw this one for new members
Just been visiting the site for about a week, never realized how hard it is to hit a specific calorie amount when you're trying to.
I've discovered that when i'm trying to watch calories i tend to come in about 500-600 calories below my target, when i don't care i end up above.
Anyone else see this pattern ?

Welcome to Calorie Count, we're happy to have you. The tools on this site can help you make this a new/healthy lifestyle rather than just a diet. Trust me when I say, you are not the only person with your stats -- many folks will share both your stats and your goals.
I share your problem with meeting/exceeding my target calories, particularly in the first few months, I was eating a lot of cereal late at night just so I could hit my minimum calories -- I think it was all the healthy eating and my body just could take only so much. Now that I've settled in to a pattern, I find it easier -- but if I'm not paying attention, I can go over
I noticed you have not yet done a profile -- I encourage you to do so. Profiles help other members with similar goals and interestes to find each other. YOu can make your profile as detailed or as vague as you wish. I suggest you look at other members' profiles to get an idea (just click on their name or their picture).
To update/build your own profile, simply go to COMMUNITY --> click on PEOPLE --> click on "edit page" underneath your picture. You can then add/subtract things to your profile page.
