Im not new to trying to stay slim, but I have let my weight get out of hand and am now uncomfortable with what I see. I hope this site will help me stay motivated and I will be able to loose those extra pounds Smile I just recently quit smoking and that makes this battle even harder.

Hi, and welcome to the site! I quit smoking in June and traded smoking for food it seems. I gained more weight than I had anticipated (haven't we all? lol) and before long, found myself here in late July desperate for solutions. Then I figured, I didn't need this site, that I could do it without, I had the "jist" of it. A few pounds later, I'm back and more determined!! From what I've seen, everyone seems pretty friendly and very encouraging! Don't look back on the cigarettes, burning those calories and taking a full deep breath (and not getting winded haha) is WAY nicer :) So again, welcome and good luck! 

Welcome welcome. Congrats on quitting smoking. I'm a few days away from my 1 year anniversery of quitting smoking. And don't worry too much about gaining weight from it. I lost a ton of weight after I quit. The best thing to do after quitting is to become active. I'm a runner now. Think I'll go on a nice long run on the 13th to celebrate one year without a cigarette.
