Hi i'm new to the site
i have 80 pounds to loose and i am determined to do this healthly instead of yo yo dieting
i have a 3 year old son and am batteling depression due to my weight
looking forward to geting fit and healthy and meeting some nice people on here along the way xxx
Welcome! I've found this site incredibly helpful, so I hope you will as well. I started suffering from depression when I was 13, so I can understand some of what you're dealing with. I've noticed since I started taking care of myself that I feel fewer depression symptoms when I exercise regularly...something to keep in mind anyway. Official Welcome #2! As lisarose said, exercise definitely helps with depression. I sometimes must force myself to exercise (like right now!), but ALWAYS feel better after and that feeling lasts.
When you have a few minutes to spare, read through the forums, a lot of what people talk about will resonate with you. I started back here in April - after not really trying hard enough in the past - and find that reading a little bit every day keeps me motivated and interested in continuing this weight-loss "journey".
