My name is Molly. I am 29 years old and want to lose about 70 lbs. I really would like to do this by the end of February, although, the weight calculator thingy on this site said it would be physically impossible. I think I will take my chances, I am nothing if not optimistic. I believe I would probably be at my goal weight with no problems staying there if I didn't have this night time sleep/eating problem. I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem. It is really causing me some problems, and so far I have not been able to just muscle through it and stop. I need a friend who can help or maybe we could help eachother get over this! Help!

Welcome to CC Molly.  I can relate to your weight loss goal because I wanted to lose 72 pounds.  I started in May 08 and have lost 67 pounds.  I've been in the same five pound range for about three months now, so I'm sure if I were a little more disciplined, I would already be there.

February is 7 months away.  I think a healthy weight loss goal would be between 28-50 pounds.  This would be about 1 to 2 pounds a week.  In my experience the weight comes off easier at the beginning.  These last ten pounds have been the hardest part.  Perhaps my body is used to functioning on the amount of calories I have been consuming.

I don't have problems with sleep eating but my sister-in-law did.  It was caused by some medication she was taking.  She would wake up in the morning with empty food wrappers in her bed with no recollection of eating anything.  Not sure if it relates to your situation.  She eventually went to her doctor and they tried a few things to correct the problem.

I have added you as a buddy.  Let me know if you would like to chat!

Hi! Thanks for the reply, it is really incredible that you have lost 67 pounds. I bet u feel like a completely different person! What is your workout routine like? Right now I am doing 30 mins on the treadmill 4-5 days a week and 1.5 hours on callenetics 2 times a week. I just started the callenetics and it is a good thing that it only calls for you to do the routine 2 times a week because it takes a few days for me to forget how horribly painful it is and talk myself into doing it again! Do you have any idea what medication it was that was causing your sister to sleep eat? The only thing I take is benadryl, but I take a lot of it.
