This isn't a school exercise really, is it?

Err.. Is this like, a homework assignment you want help with? Because it's somewhat insensitive to ask like that without even saying 'please.'

I'll rephrase for you:

'Hi there, I'm doing an assignment for school and though I know it's a sensitive subject, I was wondering if anyone who has experience of an inpatient environment would be willing to share what kind of meal plans are usually perscribed to people who are underweight. I really want to learn and understand more about this kind of situation, and if anyone would be willing to help I'd be very grateful. Thank you!'

Much better. :P

What kind of school assignment is this? Are you sure this is not for you but you don't want to come out as having an ed? Part of recovery is facing your fears and being honest

Mashed I just wanted to say good for you for speaking up. I know you have had your ups and downs but your mental outlook, advice and speaking up with concerns for yourself I see a lot of progress from you. Hope you can stay strong and continue to move forward

Im a lttle confused with this post

Its actually like a project...I need someone that has actually gone through or is going through and in patient ed(please)...I had a eating disorder before not so long ago but I did not go through hospitals or anything I just went to a nutritionist and phsycologist... I would like to work with these kind of patients and i just want to know what they really eat...i know its hard but i hope someone can give me answers... thank you!

you're talking total bull. you have an eating disorder and you are looking for a recovery meal plan.

do we sound or look thick?

grow up

Um, if you wanted to 'work with these patients,' as in, help them... surely you'd be more interested in feelings/thoughts/emotions/behaviours, as well as the damage done by starvation to the physical body rather than 'what they eat, including garnishes.' Yes, well, all ED inpatients must have a sprig of parsley on top of their meal, otherwise they lose weight.

Sorry, but I agree with Fidget - I don't really understand the purpose of this.

I do care of what they feel I am not a therapist yet. I am just starting out in this!!!! I just need a few resources!! I am just gonna be the dietitian!

Look if you search this forum enough you'll find loads of examples. I'm not trying to be horrible but the way you asked was really odd.

I did not say I have an eating disorder i said I had one a few years ago!! I didnt get to extream to get hospitalized thank god..i know it s all metal at first and it gets worst! if you dont want to reply just dont! dont talk ur crap!!! maybe I didnt explain my self but It does not mean u have to come in and be smart!

go away

maybe you shold it was my topic!

I though you had to be many years recovered from mental health issues before you worked in this field

 Excuse me?

I replied because I wanted to say what I said. I wasn't 'being smart,' just commenting that you picked a very strange way of phrasing quite a simple question.

I am not sure about that..well its actually a few steps to become one i actually just started the program, I am not here to offend anyone or make them feel bad I just want to get to know what goes on in the rehab...for school. I had a n eating disorder but my weight when up and down..just like my depressions..there was a point where I was getting really bad but i went to a therapist and nutritioist for my family. They where all sad..

If you are interested in a professional opinion we have a nutritionist on the site.  On the top of the page is an Advice link.  Click on the link for Ask Mary.  She would be more help to you then most of us could.
