Hi everyone...love to exercise and equally love to eat :)

So I'm Jacqueline (35/F) and here b/c I figure it'll give me accountability and maybe I can meet a new weightloss buddy.  I was at a very happy 155-158lbs for quite a lomg while...even ran a half mararthon in January!  I came up with the dumb idea to quit smoking after about 15 years and now I weight a very un-cool 187.

Now I have muffin-top, my cute jeans don't fit, AND the sprint-tri I am doing on Thanksgiving will be pathetically slow as hell.  I am very miserable about my weight and have decided after 3 months of stuffing my face instead of smoking and GAINING all that weight, I'm here!

I eat South Beach style in my normal lifestyle, but for almost 3 months I have consumed about 3500 calories a day to combat my nicotine cravings.  I am now commited to eating well and dumping all the horrible fat!

I want a buddy to email back and forth.  I love to workout and can motivate you that way if you can help me with the eating issue of mine :)  ANYONE wanna join me?

Hi Jacqueline my name is Simone and I am also 35. Congrat's on the quitting smoking, I know how hard it can be I just had my 4 year anniversary of quitting( I smoked for 18 years) but I was lucky when I had decided to quit I was already in the mind state of getting healthy so I did not gain weight but at that time I was already over weight from years of bad choices. I was at 220 and manged to get to 179 with Herbal Magic. Then I met my now husband and we had 2 kids (Boy and then girl) very fast so now I am back at 206 with my daughter being 5 months now.

I also was diagnosed with thyroid disease after my 2 kids of course it's Hypo and not Hyper. So I have a real struggle to get the weight off. I have been going to the gym...I try to go 4-5 times a week but it seems like I only end up going 3 times. I see changes in my body shape but the scale is very slow going. I have managed to lose 10 lbs in the last month.

I also have eating issues...sometimes I feel like I self sabotage??? So I would love to have a buddy to go through all this with.

Take care and talk to you soon.

Hey Simone,

CONGRATS on the 10 pounds......that's great!

It's really nice to "meet" you.  I hope your day is going as great as mine did up until about 5 minutes ago LOL  I ran and lifted weights and am even going swimming in a couple of hours.....the eating was perfect until I just gorged on several tablespoons of my kiddo's yummy cookie dough fundraiser.  I swear I have no idea why I did that, but for due diligence I shall swim that much further!  Actually I know I did it b/c I can't have my beloved smokes!

You will very drop the baby weight I promise :)  Sadly we gain it a helluva lot faster than drop it.  Do you like to workout outdoors or just at the gym?  I am big on that daily ande then goof around with eating.  Usually the problem is at night after I pu my lmost 7y.o. down.  So where are you from?  I am sending you a message this way b/c I am having a hard time figuring out how to get back to posts....I hope you don't mind.

So how'd the dieting go today?

And that is great that you stopped smoking too!  That alone is something that you should make you very proud!!
