Hi

well i just joined this site a few moments ago. I am totally new to calories, well i have never actually tried it so here it goes Sealed

I am 27, married mum of 2 young boys. I recently lost my father to cancer and my mum 2 years previously. I have suffered with depression since the death of my mother. Its a never ending battle, but i do take each day as it comes.

I have gained allot of weight and i believe if i start looking after myself, it may help my depression considerably as well as my overall health.

I hope this will be a new start in something that is going to help me change my life. I do want to change and i will put my all into this!

Looking forward to chatting with you all and joining in the journey

Good luck with your switchover to a healthier lifestyle.  In conjunction with conventional medicine I hope you find that a better diet and more exercise helps with the depression.  If a healthy lifestyle 'clicks' it can be really rewarding and lots of fun.... for the whole family.

I absolutely agree with Gi-Jane. I joined cal. counters back in March but I didn't really get into the forums until last Sat. I wish I'd checked them out sooner. There is so much to offer here that will help you to stay motivated and to help you on your journey. Check out the games and challenges. One of my fav. because it sounds really fun is The Biggest loser. Today is the last day to weigh in on it to begin at the beginning. Good luck to you.

TODAY IS ALSO MY FIRST DAY AND I JUST WANTED TO TELL YIOU GOOD LUCK I AM ROOTING FOR YOU

Hi! I've been here since December 08! You've done a great thing for yourselves by joining the CC community! I have found lots of support, fun, encouragement and some great new friends here.

Good luck! Even though I am very close to my goal weight, I am going to stick around CC for quite some time. That's what's good about it. CC is here for those who need to lose, gain, and maintain.

Feel free to browse my journals and to ask me any questions you may have about the site.

Cheers,

Mike
