hi, im shiny (no not my real name just what i go by on the internet really) i'm 5'2 and weigh 290 lbs... my goal is in the 130 range within 2 years .... at least thats what the computer tells me lol...
i am an atheist- and was very happy to find this group-> so thank you:)
this is just day 1 on this site- and im glad to have found it...
lets see.... i'm 31, married have a daughter-
hobbies are telescoping:) love looking at the sky- and twitter... i think im addicted to twitter...
I have Ehlers-danlos syndrome- hyper-mobile type= and have some severe joint issues... so activity is limited for me.
i've started water aerobics at my mom's house 3x a week and doing pilates for dummies on the days im not in the water... right now i'm at 45 min in the water- but only about 10 min of pilates because i am very large and its REALLY hard at the moment...
this is something i MUST do so i am using all the willpower in me to keep on track and hopefully loose the weight.
Hi Shiny - glad to have you. Have you broken your long-term goal into smaller goals? Sometimes that helps keep us motivated. Pilates is hard for most people
. Congratulations for doing ten minutes of it, and also for doing what you can instead of having an excuse. You can do this!
Just keep going day by day. Make your food and exercise into a habit like brushing your teeth. Hardly any of us would skip brushing our teeth, no matter what the reason, and that's how we have to feel about our diet and exercise plans too.
