Hi, my name's Rhiannon. I come home every day and just eat like crazy. And I try to stop myself but I can't. It is just so completley hard for me. I eat thousands of calories in just one afternoon and I don't seem to feel full so i keep eating and eating and eating. But a lot of times I know i'm not hungry but I have the hugest cravings in the world so i eat anyway. Please help me! Any tips or advice or recipes is great! Thanks! =]

Hi and welcome!! I am new too I just started on this site about a week ago.  I have always been a binge eater too and I was really convinced for a while that I had full blown binge eating disorder which I probably do.  I don't know if this is your case but when I suffer from binge eating its not just the bingeing but how awful I feel after that I hate.  I have always been a dieter but this is the first time I am looking at dieting in a new light.  It is crazy that after all the things I have tried I never tried actually calorie counting.  I think its probably because when you are on a binge it seems like a ridiculous idea to attempt to add all the cals you consumed.  I went on a little binge on saturday and couldn't stop eating this chocolate that was all around my house and it was a tailgate (I'm in college) which didn't help,  but I kept adding it on calorie counter and it was crazy to see how it added up. So I think a site like this could really make a difference for bingers like us. Good Luck!!! :)

Hi and welcome!  I, too, binge eat after a rough day... or even a boring one.  This site really helps me pay attention to what I eat in a day.  I've started drinking more water to help me cope with the lower calorie allowance and the first few pounds of water weight has melted away.  My biggest trick is to drink plenty of water everyday.  It helps curb random cravings, ease bloating, raise energy, and keep my mouth busy.  Water is miraculous.  After that it's just really important to log all the calories consumed in a day.  If I log a day or two of binges, well, it really wakes me up to what a problem my emotional eating is for me, and then I just never want to binge again.  It's a slow process with stalls along the way, but I'm now three weeks in and binge-free.  Good luck on you weight loss journey and keep checkin' in for support.  It's so important when motivation starts to evaporate.
