Hi! I'm New! :-)

Hi All!

I have just joined this website and I am introducing myself to everyone.  I've decided that I've had enough of being overweight and not being able to do things that I used to when I weighed less.

I've got about 90-100 pounds to lose and I want to do it the old fashioned way - through diet and exercise.  I have my doctor in stitches when I am able to tell her exactly what I *should* be doing to lose the excess, and I can name a multitude of diet plans off to her before she can.

I guess I've been bull-headed about my weight and I certainly have no one to blame but myself.  I eat when I'm sad, glad, mad and bad; what better way to load the pounds on!

I hope that I can make friends here and exchange my experiences and tips with others.  Thanks so much for hearing me out and I look forward to many happy days ahead with everyone concerned.

I remain,

With Kind Regards,

Mary-Frances

I have lost 100+ lbs and still have 80 to go!!!!!! Remember you can do this!!!! If you have questions feel free to ask!!!! You can DO IT!!
hi i am new here also and everyone has been so great and helps you no matter what your question or concern is. u are more than welcome to add me as one of your friends also.
hey! me too.

I'm new to the site, need to lose about 65, and got myself this way ALL BY MYSELF...

I'm presuming (like you, I think), that since I'm the one that ate my way into this weight, I'm the one that has to actually exercise/eat my way out of it... Three days down -- on to day four!

Good luck!

Kay

Hey new guys!!!  Loosing is awesome... very helpful person!

I also have a 100 pound weight loss "under my belt" *lol*... our philosophies may differ from time to time... but the end goal is the same!  We're all here for each other... welcome to the CC cult... *lol*  (Now that we've found you we'll never let you go!

A big welcome to you.  This is a great site.  I had 110 lbs to lose and I now have 30 to go.

Feel so much better and stronger and more energetic.  Sure is worth it.  I don't make a big deal out of it, just eat right, count calories and exercise 30 minutes a day (treadmill only).

If I fall off the wagon I just pull up my big girl panties and get back into it.
Thank you so much to everyone out there!  I feel more than welcome already!  I'm amazed that you all wrote so quickly and with such positive words of encouragement towards me.

Is it okay to post about when one is having a bad day and because of it, ate not only the food on the wagon but the wagon itself?

Just telling me about how much you have lost and how great you feel are already making me feel that I, too, can be a winner.

Your kind offers of friendship are all the more touching. . .count me in that rare circle that understands first hand what it means to be overweight and all that goes along with it.

I'm sad to say that I ate a 6" Philly cheesesteak (with everything on it) for dinner tonight before I joined, but with the start of a new day tomorrow, I'm turning over that proverbial new leaf.

I look forward to coming to this site and exchanging stories, recipes, exercise tips, etc. with a very diverse and encouraging group of people.

I remain,

With Kind Regards,

Mary Frances
Oooh... yummy... I haven't had a good philly steak since I lived in New Jersey!  I'm sure I could fit that into my calorie allotment every once in awhile... What's amazing about this site... you'll find that EVERY problem you have... someone else either has it... and can sympathisize.. or even BETTER has had it... and conquered it.  You'll be able to weed out our "sad cases" very soon... and figure out that most people are here to help and be helped!
Hello, Mary Frances.

It's fantastic that you've decided to change your path in life to a healthier lifestyle.

I wish you the best, I hope to see more post from you soon.
hey mary frances, welcome to the club, i am also new here (3 days) and am loving all the positive attitudes from everyone and wish everyone the best of luck for their journeys Laughing
Hello and welcome Mary-Frances. You are a winner and you will achieve your goals. I know that because you are focused on the task and you will keep it up because when you slip we will be here to help you back up. So you ate a Philly cheese steak, that's okay, just remember the next time you at the sub shop think about the guilt you felt this time and get a salad. Learn from you experience and keep on running toward that goal.

Hello and welcome Mary-Frances! Smile

Congrats on taking the first step!

I'm also trying to lose 100. Would love any tips ;)

Good luck to you on your journey!
