Hey there. i am new to the site... I have had it for a little while, I just haven't used it, to be honest.. I have recently decided with my husband to buckle down and start getting healthy and lose weight... It is soo hard, with all the temptations that are out there, but suprisingly to me, I have been pretty good..

im new to the calorie counting.. i have just started keeping track a little, it sure does help... anyone want to get to know me or chat.. just let me know....

looking forward to great tips, advise and encouragement!! Kiss

Hi Shannon!  This is a great site and I love the people here.  Best thing is we're all in the same boat, mostly, and if not someone's been there whenever we're all on a new step.  Makes it a lot easier to keep on with things.

I know the challenges are helping me more, since I just got going on one recently, so if you're competitive maybe doing one of those will help keep the focus!  Rumor has it doing something for 21 days makes it a habit so every day on track it'll get easier!

If you ever want to chat or stress I'm always around!  Hope you like it here

Stacey

Hi Shannon, nice to meet you.

This is C&P from other posts, but my best advice.

I learned a lot of great things from c-c.

First, first I am not on a diet, I am on a healthy lifestyle journey.

Second, I am no longer here to lose weight.   When you lose something, you often search to find it again.  Lose your keys or your wallet and you search until you find them or you repalce them.  I am not doing that with my fat.  I am releasing my fat from my body.

Third, I make healthy food choices.  I eat for nutrition first and if there is room left over I will have a food choice that may not be the greatest nutritionally, but will make me feel like I am not depriving myself of foods that I use to eat.

Fourth, when I started I added things to my lifestyle instead of taking them away.  I added an extra fruit and veggie a day.  I added another lean protein, added wholegrains, added an extra serving of yogurt.  I added a walk around the block, then when I added a mile walk I added a bike ride.
I was here about three month before I noticed that I was not doing certain things that was hindering my fat release, such as a bag of chips every week or just eating for the hell of it.

Use the tools, the food log, the excersise tools and the analyser.  they are great.  So is the support that I get from my c-c friends.

Enjoy your new journey.

Thanks so much for sending me a note... it's nice to start building friends!!
