If you are pregnant your doctor will tell you that you cannot & should not diet during your pregnancy or at least thats what my doc told me and I was over weight to begin with. When you get preggers you dont have to eat an excessive amount of food I believe in the beginning you only need a around 100-200 calories more than when your not preggo again thats what my doc said. I didnt want to gain a ton during my pregnancy and I only ended up gaining about 25 pounds with my twins. The first time however I ate like it was going out of style and gained 70-80 SurprisedEmbarassed Sorry long story short just watch what you eat and try to eat really healthy and you should be able to keep the weight gain under control. About the exercise my doc said I could do anything I was already doing but couldnt start anything new and no ab work. HTH you can also feel free to add me as a friend I would love to help you out in any way that I can. Good luck!!!
