Hi, 23 and need buddies! Anyone need one?
23/F/Maryland!
New to the site and need buddies!!!!

Hey!
im down 2lbs after my first week and ill be happy with anything between 1-2lbs a week as it means i will have lost a stone before my holiday in August! Cant wait!
So does anyone have any tips for me as im new?? snack wise etc as im finding I just eat 3 regular meals at the moment and am sticking to 1500 calories a day... but i have a feeling i will get bored easily!
xxx
i find it most helpful to eat 5 or 6 times a day. my meals stay relatively the same size (calorie wise) all day. if i go heavy on anything i choose breakfast. lots of things are preference. for instance- i try to stay away from artificial sweetners like aspartame, which are in a LOT of low calorie foods. Aspartame kind of sounds like aspartic acid for a reason...becuase they're closely related. some people are more sensitive than others though. So if it doesnt bother you, then i dont see a reason to treat it like the plague. lol.
eat as many fresh foods as you can find (and afford! lol) lots of fruit and veggies. frozen is the next best thing, especially when some things are out of season-strawberries etc.
oh yeah...and whatever kind of working out you do make sure you think its fun. becuase if you dont enjoy it you wont stick to it!
Thanks... at the moment im exercising 4 times a week for about an hour and burning approx 400-500 calories each time, and i really enjoy it! so thats good...
As for the eating 6 times a day, can you give me an example of a days food for you? just so i can get a rough idea...
Thanks for your help, it is much appreciated! xx

For breakfast i usually eat a half cup of egg whites with either some baby spinach or cheese mixed in for flavor. that with two slices of turkey bacon and a little v8 juice or skim milk. usually its about 300 cals, maybe less.
snacks is a granola bar or yogurt, maybe a babybel cheese. i usually stick to things that are 100 calories or less. but definitely still satisfying. i have one mid morning, and one mid afternoon.
lunch i really go for variety. it helps that theres a cafe here at work. so grilled white fish, chicken with not too much butter or marinade. lots of times i usually just have steamed veggies, cottage cheese, and maybe a low calorie chocolate pudding. today i had a veggie wrap with a little olive oil and basalmic. So good. i also drink ice water while im sitting at my desk all day. i probably havent had a soda in 2 months or more.
dinner i have salad a lot of times, or maybe a little frozen dinner thingy thats low calorie. lean cuisine has some great ones. the butternut squash ravoli has 250 calories and tastes delicious.
and since i ride my horse 4x a week on the nights im out at the barn i pack a piece of fruit to take with me or when i get home i have half an english muffin with a tablespoon of peanut butter.
my current bar is set at 1400 calories and even though at first i had trouble with it i usually stick really close to it, within 50 calories or so. good luck!
oh i also forgot. you should eat something small within a half hour after a workout. usually i opt for protien, almonds and dried fruit, or an apple, clementine etc. it helps you build muscle faster. And you don't feel so worn out. lol keep that in mind when planning snacks depending on the time of day you have your workout.

Hi, my name is Natalie / 24 / Puerto Rico. New to the site & trying to get back on track, I’m an emotional eater. I eat for whatever reason and if there isn’t one I’ll make one (Ha, ha!) Looking to make buddies as well, I need desperate motivation. Want to lose 60 lb.![]()
I'm in ontario too, i'd would be so grateful to have a buddy. I'm looking to loose around 20-25 lbs.
I find that i'm always grazing throughout work hours and then at home i raid the fridge late at night. I'm starting my exercise program again tonight. I do hot yoga and cardio at the gym, it helped me last year loose almost 10lbs.
Add me as a buddy on my profile, and maybe we can find a way to keep each other motivated.
