42 year old guy- 6'1" 275-280 former athlete, swimmer, rugby, weights. Gained a lot of weight in last years, primarily due to poor diet, becoming very sedentary and on some meds that had that particular side effect. Looking to lose about a third of myself!![]()
Good luck man,I got lucky well not lucky but rather learned something. I had galblader surgery a while ago that really made me learn I had to get in shape. After a week in the hospital and only getting a diet consisting of a IV because I had a terrible diet and killed my galbladder I learned either keep going the way I am and have a good chance of dieing or change my life and live to have kids and see them grow up and have kids.
Well like I said good luck and I wish you the best in luck here I think it will do alot for both of us.
I'm an 18 year old female, I'm 5'4", 147lbs, BMI 26.5 - Overweight!
I used to be a curvy size 10/12 but now I'm more like a plumpy size 14/16.
I suffer from depression and do find things hard to cope with but this weekend was the icing on the hideous cake!
Mum told me I look unflattering and pregnant and I wish I could just brush the comment away but to be honest with you, I just can't, I knew I had put on weight but I was in denial, now its official!
I understand I don't need to lose much weight but even if it's just a stone or 2 then I don't care, aslong as I am back to my old happy self!
Good luck guys....I'm 26, 6'1, 207lbs. I've been above 200 since I was about 14 or 15. The highest was 250, and I got down to 230 in 2004 and I've been hovering around there since. I got myself down to 205 last spring, after joining a soccer league but then after the season was over, I gained and went back to 230 by the end of summer. Now I've slowly gone back down. My goal's 190.
Men's Health was the biggest help with my weight loss. I've read so many articles from that site that educated me on fat loss and keeping it off. So now I'm determined to keep the weight off when I reach my goal. I suggest checking it out, and the articles aren't only for men either.
