4200 can't be for a week.  Generally, females burn 1200/day and males 1500/day just living.  That's without even getting out of bed.  Add on your daily activities and exercise and the amount increases.  4200/day would be possible if you lead an active live.  Do you have a physically demanding job?  Do you work out a lot?  Did you make a mistake on the burn calculator data?

If you are burnning 4200/day, you should be eating much more than 1550/day.  A healthy calorie deficit shouldn't be more than 1000 cals.  That means if you're burning 4200, you shouldn't eat less than 3200 (unless under doc's care and instructions).  While I was losing, I tried to stick to a 500 cal deficit.

Do the calculations again, or put your info here so we can double check it for you.

Hey there! 4200 burn daily is a bit much to imagine unless you are an athlete in training or working an extremely physically demanding job. And as stated earlier, 4200 per week is well below.

One tip for me to get everything into perspective was to put my lifestyle as sedentary and then adjust for additional activity.

For instance, if I had a day where I was on my feet a ton, I may add a cumulative total of a half hour or so of walking (light effort) to my calories burned for the day.

I don't account for everything different I do, just the 'REALLY" out of the ordinary. This gives me a more realistic approach to what I am actually burning and it makes it a lot easier to manage my diet.

At sedentary, my daily burn is around 1700 ... I KNOW I have a 1200 - 1300 calorie base to work with, so if my day doesn't go as planned, I don't blow my diet out of the water by over-eating early. If I have gotten more exercise and need to make up for a large defecit (more than 100 calories), I have room for that with my evening meal.

It may be, as posted earlier, that you made a mistake in your entries to the calculator OR you are overestimating what you are ACTUALLY doing. I thought I was doing vigorous exercise when it turns out, as the standards go, I was only doing easy or moderate. By not accounting for it ahead of time, it allows me to be more honest with myself as to what I am actually doing.

I hope that helps with your planning ... and if you are comfortable putting your stats up having someone else double-check the calculations isn't a bad idea.

Welcome, btw and brightest blessings on your jouurney!

~Namaste
