Well, i didn't loose any weight as for today. But honestly i didn't expect that i will because i didn't select my activity level right and was eating wrong amount of calories, too much. So, i started with corrected amount 1350 on May 28,so it was a week actually. I don't want to lie and say that  i am not upset, i am. But i will continue doing this anyway. Now i feel like i am doing this right, feel much better eating 1200-1300 calories a day.

I am happy for you, Lori, great job ! I hope your grandson will arrive today without any complications healthy and your daughter will be all right and happy, i  will cross fingers for all of you. Maybe that already happened, then congratulations!!!

Yesterday i ate 1203 calories and was stuffed. Although i didn't eat anything but vegetables and broiled pork chop. As a dessert i had 2 cups of watermelon, it was really good. Sometimes i just don't feel like eating at all, was wondering any of you, girls, had the same thing. I know that i should eat at least 1200 calories, so i try not to be under this amount.

It's dark, cloudy and hot today. It probably will be raining later.

I would tell you to add weights.  The heavier the better.  I don't understand why women are afraid of weights.  Done properly, you can actually raise your BMR which will help you loose and keep the weight off.  It also strengthens your bones and helps to prevent osteoporosis better than anything else you can do.

Hi everyone - I've lost half a pound - I'm just a little under 128.  I'm happy with that, it's slow, but safe. 

Leila - keep with it, girl.  The science won't fail you - with your new calorie count and maybe upping your cardio just a bit, it will start coming off.  I"ve changed my habits so much, and look, I only lost .5 of a pound.  It's harder for us, in a way, 'cause we don't have a lot to lose and we're not technically overweight. 

Lori - congrats on the loss.  I haven't been 111 since I was 30!!!!!  You're gonna float away!  Is it time to start maintaining or are you going for more? 

Leila - To answer your earlier post - I do have days where I eat under and feel completely satisfied.  A nice salad will do the trick and I don't need anymore.  But I think I must be about to get my period because I'm really fighting hunger these days.  I'm trying to drink my water and have the fresh veggies and fruits on hand.  But the craving for chips, etc... is strong.  I heard that cravings will go away in 15 minutes if you can just sit tight and not give in. 

This will blow your mind guys - my husband was watching the Today show and they were doing an interview with the head chef for the US olympic team.  she said that some of the athletes (like Decathalon, etc...) eat as many as 12,000 calories a DAY!  Just an interesting statistic I thought I'd share with you :-)

Alison, congratulations with  your  weight lost!!! That's great! Thank  your for your support, i am doing good. I try to avoid eating desserts at all, only frozen yogurt. But that's right about the craving, i know that, if you just wait or get busy with something, it will go away. I baked carrot muffins for my husband and he eats every night after dinner one or two. I am not eating, although deep inside i would like to have one. But i just think what i want, about my    goal and i don't want it anymore. It is hard, let me tell you . I agree with you, that for us it's harder to loose weight because we don't have much to loose. I was reading post girls are loosing 100 , 200 pounds. Isn't that amazing?? But i will do more cardio and will continue with my calories, it will start working for me too,i hope. So, it's normal thing not to feel hungry when i eat under, it's good to know. Today for example i ate just 700 calories and went to the gym after work. Didn't have cardio today, spent 30 minutes on elliptical machine. So, now i will have a peace of baked fish and veggies. I even don't know if will be able to eat 1200 today.

Wow, i can't even imagne to eat 12000 calories, that is  scary.

Hello everybody.I am proud to announce that the baby has arrived. Time of birth was 12:49 p.m., wow I can't believe he is only 9 hours old, I feel like I was at the hospital for 40 hours today. Things didn't go as planned, my daughter couldn't get the epidural  she wanted, didn't get to hold this baby right a way either and she has many many stitches.  Baby had a tough start, as he wasn't breathing and needed to be suctioned several times ( he ingested maconium sp*, his first bowel movement before he was delivered).  She went from 3 cm at 7:30 a.m. to 7cm at 8:30 a.m., which  means she had progressed to far for the epidural. The contractions were so strong that they had to give her fentynol sp* for pain, which crosses the placenta, so baby had breathing  issues for a bit.  Sorry if none of this makes sense, I'm about to fall asleep. Bottom line both my daughter and grandson are both doing fine now. It was amazing to see my two grandsons together, I think JC (2 years old) is going to be a great big brother. Both mom and baby were resting comfortably when I left the hospital tonight.

I haven't read the latest posts, I'm going to bed and will do that tomorrow. Just wanted to let you all know, that I am still part of this group. Sweet dreams to all!

CONGRATULATIONS LORI!!!!!!  What an amazing story!  I'm so glad the baby's ok, because I know that babies ingesting merconium is NOT good.  Really scary. Thank goodness everyone is all right.  Your poor daughter - that sounds like a nightmare.  Were you in the room with her or waiting outside?

It reminds me of when Mackenzie was born and you just fall in love with this little person that you feel like you've known forever.  So sweet.  I'm sure your daughter is very happy right now.

Lorri, i am so  happy for you and your family. Congratulations!!! I was thinking about you last night, hoping that everything went well. Both baby and your daughter went through a lot, but that is wonderful that everything is all right now. Poor thing, you are probably so tired, you will be sleeping for a while to catch the sleep and get your energy back.

Enjoy your conference tomorrow, Alison.  I have busy day today, i am going in the morning to cut and hightligh my hair and then to do manikur. I won't make it to the gym today, we have dinner and the movie later in the afternoon. So probably will go on Sunday instead.

Today was awesome, the two boys bonded a lot. JC is so gentle with his baby brother, he was holding him, rubbing his head and singing so so cute.

We all lost or stayed the same weight, we are the bomb. No gain is a good thing.

Leila, keep on trucking good things will soon happen. Now that you have lowered your calorie target, you will soon see a change.

Alison, Good job keep up the good work. Yes I was in the room with my daughter and son-in-law, and I am glad it is over. Hope you get to enjoy some of the weekend after your conference.

Tomorrow is my son's graduation, and it's going to be about 95 degrees ugh!

As you can all tell I am very busy, so I won't be back on for a couple of days. I forget what the gym looks like, and I can't wait to get back. My goal is to make it there on Monday, and be faithful like I was before. Talk to you all in a couple of days. THINK THIN.

That is so cut, two brothers bonding, wow. He probably knows that he is big brother now, although JC is so small. It's amazing!!!  Well, i guess you are right, i am not gaining any, that's a good thing. And keep going to my goal, staying with calories, a little under and going to the gym. I probably will add body step class once a week. I stopped going two weeks ago, i will go again on Monday.  It is so hot here, today was 102F and tomorrow will be the same. Hello everybody,

It's very hot here, it's 98F but feels like 103F with humidity. It's a heat advisory until tomorrow 11 o'clock at night. Then it suppose to cool down until 80F. I didn't make it to the gym because of this heat. Just can't force myself to go out. And i can't eat too, so i will try to have some fruits maybe, so i would go to 1200 calories for today. I think that i will be able to go to the gym only on Wednesday, when it will be cooler. Hope everybody is all right and having good week-end.

Hi everyone!  Hope the weekend was good.  My conference great - I got some good feedback on my writing and was so happy I came home and had 2 glasses of wine, which gave me a hangover the next day. I must be getting old, because I used to be able to drink a whole lot more! Laughing

Leila - I think it might be hotter there than in Orlando!

So - I have to buy a bathing suit tomorrow.  Ugh.  I think I'll go to the gym first, then try to get a sitter for the afternoon and just go out by myself.  If I go to they gym, I'll have a much more positive attitude.  Tankinis with the skirt work best for me - my weight is in my hips and thighs.  Do you guys hate it as much as I do?

Hi girls!

Well, it is horrible weather, i don't like such heat and don't feel comfortable in it. You feel like you don't have any energy to do anything. I drank yesterday probably 10 bottles of water and couldn't force myself to eat something hot. I just had turkey sandwich and watermelon. I took shower like 5 times and felt really miserable. Today and tomorrow will be the same hot weather, 103F, on Wednesday suppose to cool down to 85F. I can't wait........

That's great that you enjoyed your conference, Alison. I hate buying bathing suit too, it is so hard to find something that looks good on your body. I bought two last year when we went for a week to Florida, to St.Petersburg. And by the way, we went to Orlando to Epcot. It was hot there but different from our heat, maybe because it is more humid in Maryland. We were walking around all day and we were o.k. Our friends live in St.Petersburg.

Hello Everyone,

Very hot here as well. Went from 50's right to the 90's. Today make it an official heat wave (3 days over 90 in a row). I will not complain I love the heat. Yesterday, the out side graduation wasn't so fun, but we still enjoyed it. Mom and baby are doing well, poor mom has a fractures tail bone ouch, he is a big boy.

Great news concerning weight, still haven't been to the gym, but somehow still going down. Don't ask how, guess I am eating the right things.

Alison glad the conference went well.

Leila I'm right with you, with the to hot for the gym.

Wow, Lori, the picture is so sweet Innocent Big Brother is meeting his little brother first time, it is amazing picture. Your daughter looks really tired, but she is pretty.Natanielle is a cute name, really like the way it sounds.  Congratulations on your son's graduation!!!

I didn't weight myself yet, i am waiting untill the end of the week. I am doing good with the calories,but didn't go to the gym on week-end. It's too hot, it's 103 today.

Hi Lori - what a beautiful baby, and what a sweet picture!  It makes me want to cry!  I need to get some pics up for you guys to see, too!

Finally made it to my "powercuts" class today, and boy, what a workout.  But I need to work hard to get my motabalism up - I can just feel that if I don't up my cardio I'll stick right where I am.  The class is weights with jump roping intervals and I was sweating like a piggie by the end of it :-) Which is a good thing.  We also did lunges with weights across th gym floor, so I'll be sore tomorrow! 

Couldn't find a sitter so I have to wait until tomorrow or wednesday for my bathing suit shopping.  That's fine with me! 

Kiss that baby for me Lori, and stay cool, Leila!  By the way, isn't St. Pete Beach just wonderful with those Sunsets?

2nd post in a row - I must be chatty today.  I remembered that I'm going on a long weekend starting Thursday through Fathers Day (Cocoa Beach), so I'll be off posting for those days, but don't give up on me!  I'm a little worried about the eating, but I'll just take it one meal at a time.  I guess if I don't gain, that will be a good thing.  And I guess it means I won't be weighing myself this Friday either.  I'll do it on Monday and see how I did. 

And the other thing was, Lori, how the heck are you doing it?  Are you off starches or sugars - doing something different besides just counting calories?  I want some of the magic to rub off on me! Smile

Yes, you are right Alison, the beaches there are are beautiful. And i liked the sun too, i spend day laying on the beach and i was brown. We were on Clear Water  beach, the sand there is white and the beach is clean. I hope we will be back soon. It's my husband's old friend lives there with his family,so we stayed at their house.

That would be great to see the pictures of your daughter too, Alison. Looks like you spend good time in the gym, lucky you. I am sitting in front of the computer and sweating like a piggy. I can't imagine what i will be doing if i will go the gym.  We could do weigh ins on Monday, that's fine with me. You will be fine, i am sure. Just eat small portions, that's it.

Alison I would love to see your pictures, put them up when you get a chance. I will give the baby kisses from you, it would be my pleasure. As for my magic, I really think it is all in my breakfast choice. If I start the day off with cereal, I never stay full long enough. What works for me is either two poached eggs on weight watchers bread ( toasted), or two slices of weight watchers toast with peanut butter (1/2 tablespoon each). When I have one of those I stay full until past lunch time, and the whole day goes well. Anything else for breakfast and I am so hungry an hour later. Try it and if it works then it is magic, if not I don't know how I am doing it. Have fun shopping for your new bathing suit, if I was there I would babysit lol  Enjoy your upcoming weekend, I suggest salad,salad, and salad. When it is hot out it can be refreshing. Try to switch it up maybe grilled chicken , steak tips or shrimp on top.  I know easier said then done, but just keep thinking of how nice you will look in your bathing suit.

Leila I missed you girls too, you really do help keep me motivated. My daughter was very tired, and I'm sure will be that way for a while. It feels so good inside to see the two boys together, JC isn't jealous at all (yet). Now that everything is over and I can go back to the gym, it is way to hot. Always something right? I think I have to just get up and go first thing in the mornings or I won't end up going. So are we all going to do a Monday weigh in? If so  count me in.

I wish I was on a FLA beach right now, my mom lives about a half a mile away from Port Charlotte beach. It is a tiny beach but I really love it.

Alison if you try the breakfast bit, let me know if it works for you.

7:50 pm and had my calorie limit for the day, no snacking with tv tonight for me, only water. I HAD to have a sausage on the grill today, I know the worst thing I could eat, but have to splurge at times. Have a great night.

 

Good morning, it's me again. Had to post again after jumping on the scale this morning. I just realized, I'm half way to my goal. The last 5 pounds are the hardest to lose, so I don't know if I will ever get to my goal weight. I will continue counting calories and hope to get there some day. It sucks knowing that once I do achieve my goal, I will still have to count forever. The bright side is, I will feel better about myself and I might enjoy clothes shopping.

When I realized I made it past the half way point, I got really excited. Now I am motivated again, and I am leaving for the gym.

We really can do this girls.
