Hi my name is Maria I am 25 and I need to loose weight, my current weight is 185 pounds and my goal is 130, I used to be a size 6 or 4 and now I am at 10 or 12 sometimes, and is very frustrating even look at my pictures in the livivng room I look like a completely diferent person, I want to regain myself because this is affecting my self stime, I expect to reach my goal in april 2010 but I will be happy if I loose som for my brithday on october 23rd even if is a couple of pounds would be awesome,

Oh wow Maria, we have the same stats (I'm 22 and at 180, size 12) I understand completely what you feel when you talk about the pictures and looking like a different person. Good luck with reaching your goal! 

Thank u Ivy what are you doing to loose weight? maybe we can exchange tips my biggest strugles are exercises especially.

I so know what you mean...I have struggled with weight for the past 10 yrs. I am now 35 (213 pounds)and need to make a change. I am a stay at home mom with 2 kids, my boy is 2 and my girl is 4 months. I found a gym near my home that has a section for ladies only...no thanks to working out with guys beside me! It has been going OK, I put on my headphones and listen to music I like & try to push myself. I had a trainer recently and the one thing I got from him was to always push yourself. If what exercises you are doing seem a bit easy you need to add a weight or go a bit faster, he said you should always feel a bit uncomfortable that way you know you are actually doing something. So I hope this helps. I joined CC 3 days ago and have lost 3 pounds so I have hope!

Hi maria,

I'm 25 as well, and reached my highest weight in August of this year at 198 and a size 14 (which is reallly!!! bad cause im very short!).  Ive been cc'ing and excersizing since August 14th and have lost 22 pounds in total with a goal of 130 (im exactly 1/3 of the way there).  I have never had that enormous loss of water weight - but have lost a steady 2 - 2.5 pounds been week the healthy but slooowwww way.  Just remember that this needs to be a lifestyle thing - if in your head your thinking you will loose tons right away then you are setting yourself up for failure.  Keep to your calories, excersize and most of all - be completely honest with yourself and you will most certainly reach your goa!!

hey marie, i tottaly feel you like everyone else here im 21 and at 195. i was at 165 then i went to italy and lived there for awhile and gained a crud of weight now im at a size 12-14 and its a killer. i hope we can all support eacother on this journey to weight loss. i usually run for weight loss but this year im swimming. i hope it works as well. good luck!!! 

I want to lose about 25-50 lbs.. I know it will be hard but, together we can do anything. I want to get healthy and get more into modeling and wear fitted clothes without the bulge of my stomach and love handles.. I have alot of water weight and it is so frusturating to get off. I started taking water pills and it has helped a little.

Does anyone know of some low-impact excersies?

I am 19 years old by the way and a sophomore in college. I went way past the freshman 15.. its more like the freshman 45.

I am 26 I weigh 194 and wear a size 14-16.  I am a stay-at-home mom and a homeschooling parent.  I am so tired of being tired.  I am planning to run my but off (literally) this year and maybe some hips and gut too.  Good luck to everyone I wish you all the best.
