Hi everybody!

I have reached a point where I am heavier than I've ever been......things in life are basically good, yet I am a quantity eater and sometimes the volume I can consume even amazes me. Having been a collegiate athlete and played rugby until I was 45, this struggle totally frustrates me!

I know that I tend to eat when I'm lonely and bored....I guess I've been both a lot in the past year......I live with my 2 mastiffs...my daughters are out of the house.

I am divorced and am 57.

I love my work...everyday...and now have some time off.....I started my eating program Monday, 6-23-09, and so far, find it pretty satisfying...so we shall see.

My daughters tell me to get a better social life...maybe they are right!

Enough for now......would like to hear from some of you.

Steve

Hi Steve,

what part of Jersey are you in? if you don't mind me asking.

I live in Bordentown and just moved to this "calorie count" site, it looks fun and maybe blogging will motivate me ...

have a nice day

Tricia

Hi Tricia:

Thanks for writing.

I live in Cherry Hill.....I started my plan on Father's Day and have lost about 30 pounds, so I'm off to a good start. I need to continue the momentum.

How are you doing?

Steve

Hi Steve,

I love Rugby!  I can't imagine playing until I am 45 though.  What position did you play?  Were you injuried much?

Hi Steve,

I am also a dog lover and noticed you have mastiffs. I had three dogs at one time but they were at the other end of the spectrum - yorkies and maltese. I volunteer at an animal rescue in my area. It is a great way to get exercise and meet new people. Good luck with your goals!
