Hi! My name is Jodi...I am new to carlorie count and was wondering if anyone would like to join me in challenging yourself to lose up to 10 pounds in the month of June.

Healthy weight loss is 2-3 pounds per week so I chose the median number of 10. Even if you manage to lose 1-9 pounds that is GREAT!!!!!. It's always nice to share our triumps and challenges over the course of one month. And as a new member it is also a nice way to meet new buddies.

If you are interested just reply to my post and we can all record our starting weights on June 1st and our ending weight on June 30th. All are welcome whether you are a new member or an exsisting member.

I will be here everyday to lend my support...so lets all get together and suppport one another for a sucessfull June weight loss challenge!!!!!

WOW!!! So many grand accomplishments already....there is only five days until the weigh in. So what I will be doing is posting everyones start weight here on June 2nd before midnight so that gives everyone a chance to give me there weight and on Monday of every week until the 30th we can have a weigh in and I will keep the post updated. All those that are interested just send me a message in my inbox of your start weight and keep me updated until the end. Not too sure if you have to add me as a friend or not to send me a message, if so please do and I shall accept.

I LOVE IT!!!  Support always helps....and I need a lot of it :)  I always plan on going home after work & exercising, but I get home and find myself being lazy....yuck!  It's time to exercise and eat healthy-I only have a month!!  Perfect timing also, I'm in a wedding June 27!

I haven't joined a challenge in almost a year. I'm joining a gym on June 1st and restarting my diet. I would LOVE to lose 10 lbs in June but will shoot for 5 to start and hopefully I start toning up a tiny bit at a time.

Thanks for this. Really. I need to motivation.

I need to lose 10 by the end of june or I wont meet my goal of 30 by end of august (i'm hoping for ten a month).  So let's do this!

my name is sarah am 23yo , 5'5" , i started losing mar 1st at 217 and

am currently 188 -almost 30 lbs !!!- and had gr8 10 days of loss but i still need to drop

10 lbs by july - summer vacation- thats 2 lbs a week itis gonna be hard but i know for sure possible

So count me in . I have never join a challenge like this and hopefully I try harder this time around, I was 236 about 3 yrs ago and go down to 165 but gain weight so now am at 186..but 10 lbs will be good ..so I will report here or where??? everyday in june and lets all be healthy by the end of summer...no bikinis here but would love to be smaller!Laughing

I am in too. I've lost 12 lbs and have a steady 1 lb loss per week and am increasing my activity so I hope I could up it to 2 lb per week and loose 10 by June 27th, I am in a wedding also.  This is my first challange also and am very excited!!!  My goal is 145 and a new bikini!  It is amazing how great you feel knowing you just keep loosing and loosing every week, slow but steady.  Good luck everyone Cool

Hey I just wanted to suggest my favorite workout video. It is old and a little corny but works great. It is the Cindy Crawford workout video. (her 1st one: yes she made 2)Smile I bought the DVD version off Amazon last year or so before I got pregant,  but I had it in high school on VHS.  It uses hand weights, a chair, and a mat.  You really will sweat.

ok this sounds like fun - but i'm going to aim for 5-6 pounds in the month.  I've never lost as much as 10, as awesome as that would be I just know I can't do it that quick :)

I know what my problem is - getting to the gym/ being active at all!  I eat well, but I need the extra deficit from exercise, plus I want to get stronger.

it would be awesome to see the 130s again!

Oh I just joined this site, and I'm so down for a challenge. This one is perfect, since it will end on my birthday and it would be grand to lose 10 lbs for my birthday! I'm at 128lbs right now, and anything below this would be great since i'm only 5 feet tall.

I am going to join this challenge, this sounds great. I just started CC 3days ago and I really like it. I joined WW online 3 years ago and it is very similar, only this is free. I did well on it but I had a baby 2 months ago and I gained a lot of weight. I need to lose the weight so I can fit back into my clothes. I weighed 205 while pregnant, and  I now weigh 173. I think 10lbs this month is doable. I am only weighing myself once a week, every Monday morning. Good Luck All!

I am brand spankin new here and this is my first post. I WANT to lose a total of 18 lbs by end of summer, so i am down for 10 lbs by June! So far i have 2 lbs in 2 days, which was probably just water weight. This is hard so it will be good to have a goal! =)

I love a challenge  I sent you my weight then read rest of directions so i will send you my weight again on 1st.  I am determined to lose weight.  I started dieting again about 2 weeks and i lost 7 pounds.  Being a person who has tryed different diets in the last 25 years i know that the first 2 weeks is when you lose the most.  This challenge should keep me going through the month.

So I am ready!  I figured i would try one more time to get my weight down.

 

Finely heading to bed..it's gonna be hard to sleep when I am so excited for this challenge....

I am joining the 30 day challenge too and I saw your post. I can relate!! I also do very well typically during the day and then I blow it all at night. I think this site will help. Today was my first day of entering food too. I also responded to another post about being on antidepressants. What I found is that, as I was typing and explaining, the lights were going on....I realized for example, that coming home from work or shopping or anywhere is a very vulnerable time for me and that I tend to just start shoveling it in, hoping something will satisfy. I came up with an idea. I am going to start a tea habit. When I come home, I am going to put the kettle on, go and change my clothes, and make myself a cup of tea. And by then, my eating-everything-I-can mood should subside. Anyway, just thought I would share. I look forward to participating with you in the June 10 pound loss challenge. What a great start that will be!

 

4 MORE DAYS FRIENDS ARE YOU READY!!!!!!

Things we can start doing to help with the weightloss:

  1. Drink plenty of water
  2. Eat smaller more frequent meals
  3. Take the stairs instead of the elevator
  4. Make a list with your pre-planned meals for the week before grocery shopping
  5. Don't shop on an empty stomach
  6. Ask your friends and family for support

This list can be endless...lets all add more great ideas!

Those are all great ideas Joditiki!

Another thing that will help too is to eat fiber. It will keep you feeling fuller longer.
