Well, one of the ladies in the P90x thread asked about working out on an empty stomach. I told her bad idea, 'cause you actually will be burning muscle for fuel...did that sound right?
sounds right to me. its just the same as with cardio - your body will burn food if you've eaten it, stored glucose at first if you haven't, then muscle because fat is too hard to convert. You just need to get in extra protein too if you're lifting, with cardio just really need the carbs. I never exercise on an empty stomach.
But then there's others who do *shrug* I feel awful if I don't.

Ok, thanks. I wanted a second opinion. In my reply I did tell Truman and some of our other resident experts to chime in, but I have no idea if they even bother to read that thread.
