HIIT: DVDs, podcasts, on-line programs out there?
I want to start HIIT training, but I'm not very good at setting programs up for myself.
I am looking for a DVD, podcast, or on-line program (one that actually walks you through it, not just gives you times and exercises). I'd like it to be about 20 minutes.
It doesn't really matter what type - I can run, jump rope, and have a stationary bike, although that's my least favorite. Any other exercises are OK too.
If anyone has found, created, or knows of such a DVD, podcast, tape, etc. that I can get, please let me know! Thanks a bunch!

you dont really need a program... Just do a 4 or 5 min warm up, then spirint as fast and as hard as you can for 30 secs, then cooldown for 30sec (jog dont walk) do it till you hit your mark (20 mins) then a 2-4 min cool down or just stop.
i honestly dont know how a DvD can help you better understand it.

Thanks. I do understand it; I just need someone to tell me when to start and stop the intervals. I'm not good at exercising and looking at my watch/clock/stopwatch (not coordinated enough, I guess, plus I get distracted).
I know it seems like "spoonfeeding" ... but that's what I need. And maybe there's a way to work into a 20-minute 30/30, or mix it up 30/30 then 60/60 then 90/30, etc. I just don't want to think that much ... I'd rather someone else think, put it on a podcast, and let me follow it!
When I started the "learn to run" program, the only way I could do it was with the podcasts, which I learned to love, so if I could find something similar for HIIT I woud be very happy.

There was a great one for the Couch to 5k program, so I would have to assume someone set one up for doing HIIT!
What's hiit? I keep hearing about it. For anyone who has done it (whatever it is), is it effective?
