Hit a wall, any help?

I started trying to lose weight about 10 weeks ago. The first week was a big loss, I went from 215 to 205. After that first week I've been losing about 2 pounds a week pretty much every week until now. I am currently at 189 and I have been for the last two weeks. I have not changed anything that I'm doing (may have something to do with it), I still am under on my calories every day by 500-1000 and I'm still going to the gym at least 4 days a week. I just can't seem to lose any more weight, hopefully it is temporary and there is something I can do to speed it up again. There is no way that 189 at 5'10" is an ideal weight for a guy.

Thanks to everyone that can help!

you hit a plateau, there's a couple things you can try to break through it.  1 - change up your exercise routine, 2 - have a cheat day/meal (it tells your body it's alright to lose some more fat), 3 - eat at maintenance for a few days

Ok, so if i just break even on my calorie lost/eaten then it should trick my body into thinking it can lose more weight? Sounds pretty easy...

yeah, just eat the amount you burn for say 3 days and then go back to the diet. If that doesn't work then try it for a week.

I've lost 60lbs over the past 1 1/2yrs( I have 17 more to go!), the same thing happens to me sometimes. You need to eat more. Sounds like your body has gone into starvation mode and is holding on to every calorie. If CC has given you a calorie total it, abide by it. It's even ok to go over it by a couple hundred. It won't kill everything you've worked so hard for. Good luck!

I don't have any suggestions. I just wanted to say that I love your "pimpnamedslickback" avatar.
