Um I think running is my hobby.
Try rollerblading, it's fun.
I was having this brainstorm myself this weekend. I feel like I'm lacking in "interests".
I enjoy reading (but I don't do enough of it) and really working out takes up a huge chunk of my spare time... but I feel like that shouldn't count since its a lifestyle option and not for "fun".
I wish I was interested in more. But I think being connected to people can be a hobby. I love entertaining for people! So maybe my hobby is people.
I'm a gamer. :P
Reading is a lot of fun too.
Skydiving. Travelling. Reading. The never ending battle of trying to learn German (maybe that's more torture than hobby).
Dancing. =D! Kinda badly... lol But I am improving! =]
Thanks for the replies everyone ![]()
running_man - I get in a flap a bit when I run, I don't enjoy it
I wish I did. Maybe it's some thing that you can learn to love?
dkn - Rollerblading isn't a big thingas far as I know) where I live (UK) expect for more stunt kind of stuff. Although I think I'd enjoy iceskating but the nearest rink is about 25 miles away, I went when I was younger on the odd birthday party trip.
jef9up - I'm completely lacking in interests! I just feel I work, come home, cook, laze around, go bed. I don't feel I achieve anything, but at the same time I can't think of anything I want to do! I get so frustrated with myself.
frokusblakah - I'm sort of an on/off gamer. I go through phases. Had a quick go on Left4Dead with the bf earlier but that'll probably it for a little while.
jenningermany - I don't think I could ever sky dive!! Haha! I do enjoy travelling, but that'll have to wait as not much money at the mo! The places I really want to go to tend to be expensive places! I enjoy reading but I don't know, I think because you do it on your own, I don't feel like doing it. I was thinking of learning a language, I did French and German at school, but remember only very small bits.
kysserminfrites - What kind of dancing do you do? Just round the house or salsa etc?
writing (fiction and non), reading (mostly fiction), photography (film; i have a decent digital, but it doesn`t really float my boat), hiking, camping, running (when i`m not writing a thesis, recovering from surgery, or otherwise have a good excuse not to), entertaining friends (in the bbq-dinner sense, not the stand-up comic sense).
i want to get back into windsurfing, because it rocks. but exercise that doesn`t include the dog feels kind-of useless.

Ditto. I need a hobby besides working out... I used to scrapbook, but I get bored of it (and it's expensive). I used to like to read some, but I feel guilty now if I just sit on the couch and read or scrapbook, so I just don't do it anymore. Tried painting... but I suck.
I could really use some more ideas too... I really need a hobby. The closest thing I currently have it playing my EA Sports "Acitve" game. lol
Well, right now I'm trying to learn this thing called the Melbourne Shuffle (<--- youtube video, if you wanna see what it looks like).
It's pretty fun but I always lose my balance so easily right now. ![]()
I make jewellery, read, write (currently hoping to win an opportunity to write an article for Canadian Art--fingers crossed!), and am spending the summer trying to teach myself Korean (and hopefully revisit German and French).
The closest thing I currently have it playing my EA Sports "Acitve" game. lol
Is that the new one for the Wii? I was looking at that earlier - any good?
I play Guitar (Solo and in a Band)
I also play alot of Hockey year round and try to Golf when I can... Not very well mind ya... but I try...
Riding/touring on motorcycle, gardening, bellt dancing, skydiving, snorkeling, sailing, scrapbooking, naturist weekends....![]()
Take up an instrument! It's the best thing ever. I have played harp for 12 years and have loved every minute of it. Practicing can be so calming and a great way to relax by yourself.
I love to sew and quilt (very practical), I also knit, crochet, and do counted cross-stitch. I love to garden. I read and scrap book. I love to cook and entertain. I do yoga and spin. I go hiking with my dog and friends. On vacation, we go skiing, scuba diving and traveling with a little rafting, sailing, bicycling, and horseback riding thrown in. I own a couple of rental houses and there is always something that needs to be fixed, painted, or repaired.
Then there are sports like golf, tennis, and raquetball! (some people join a league and play soccer, volleyball, baseball/softball, and basketball). What about swimming? kayaking? canoeing? water skiing? play cards?
My dad is 92 and plays bridge and golf several times a week. It keeps him alert and healthy. He stills lives on his own and drives! He swears that staying active with interests is what keeps him young.
Go the library and check some books--try them out!
I like to knit, read, and do work out videos (I like looking for new ones). I have also been known to sew. Baking is a fun hobby, but that leads to eating too much of the wrong things :-(.

Yeah I've always wanted to take up an instrument, however, I've yet to sit down and commit to it.
I forgot to add drawing, I enjoy drawing a lot. I haven't been doing it much lately though. ~_~

Yeah, it's awesome! I love it! I've done it two days in a row so far and I can really feel it in my legs and arms. I'm doing the 30 day challenge on it, but I have it set on high intensity, so I get pretty sweaty. I feel like it's a pretty good workout, especially if you run through it twice in a row. ;)
I'm also a gamer. I like to draw/paint/sketch/doodle (even though I'm sucky), I love to read, I like a bunch of arts and crafts but haven't done any in years... I used to bead and cross stitch. I like to make mosaics out of magazines! Ummm... I'm sure there's more that I can't remember. =/
