The holidays are coming...
The holidays are coming up. That means for so many different things for so many different people.
So many of us want to look our best so that our loved ones will be happy for us and proud of us. In reality, having a healthy weight is great, but getting there in a safe and sane fashion is so much more important. The people who are important in our lives probably don't really see the physical packaging as much as they look at who and what we are to them. What good is losing 20 lbs going to do you if you develop a medical condition due to improper nutrition and fad diets? Doing extra at the gym doesn't help you if you injure yourself. Please don't be in a rush to get where you're going, enjoy the journey. Develop healthy eating habits and work out habits that will get you healthy or just healthier this year. Your loved ones will be happy that you're healthy and happy and you can have endless conversations of how you're doing it or how you did it because they truly will want to know.

This is a great reminder!
Thank you for posting this, and I can only reinforce it.
I should add, be kind to yourself and others! The holidays have so many traumas for people that range from expectations to past history of disappointments.
I'm going to write this down and hang it on my door so I can see it everyday. I need this reminder, not just during the holidays, but everyday of my life.
"Please don't be in a rush to get where you're going, enjoy the journey."
That really touched me.
Thank you. <3
Looking forward to it! And I can't wait to enjoy my favorites. Why are dinner rolls so amazing only around the holidays? :)
Thanks for the reminder. I hope this post reaches many.
Thank you for such a wonderful reminder! I shall take it to heart!
Thank you so much for this. :) Another thing that I keep reminding myself is no matter how skinny you are or how great you look, no one wants to hang out with someone who never laughs, never smiles, and would rather stay at home and measure out the calories in celery than go out to a movie with friends.
If there's one thing having an ED has taught me, it's that really, truly, inner beauty matters more.
