Holy Crap. I actually got my butt out of bed to jog this morning!

I love my bed.

I love sleep.

Until about 2 weeks ago, I LOATHED exercise.

Then I decided to go outside - and I now believe I am fast on my way to being hooked. Every day for the past 2 weeks I have gotten outside, jogged, power walked, played tennis, played golf - something productive and exercise-related.

Today, knowing I have a meeting that will run late tonight and I wouldn;t have time after work / evening to jog, I actually set my alarm for 5:45 and took a brisk walk / jog around my neighbourhood - only 3kms but still!

In the evenings, I do ab workouts and leg lifts / bicycle kicks / etc while watching tv.

I really, really, really feel Great and am excited to take this to the next level. :)

YOU GO GIRL!!!!!

I finally got my butt out of bed this morning too.  For three months I said I was going to run in the morning instead of afternoon's on the treadmill and i totally did it today!

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

congrats! keep it up. remmeber habits take time so the longer you stick with it the easier and more natural it will become (although it sounds like its working as is)

Holy Crap. I actually got my butt out of bed to jog this morning!---LOL, LOL, LOL

i hate, hate, hate getting out of bed. well done, its a mystery to me how anyone can do that, but well done.  its like the bermuda triangle to my brain & body.

I prefer jogging in the morning, there are so many good things about it.  The biggest thing, and this may sound odd, is that it's almost a quasi-spiritual experience for me.  The morning dew covers the grounds, the world is hushed, nobody is around and you own the entire world.  It's even better if you are up early enough to see the sun rise on the horizon.  Absolutely amazing way to wake up every morning.  It just makes you feel invigorated for the rest of the day.  Plus... there are lots of other benefits.  It's usually cooler in temperature, you really get your metabolism scream right from the get go, and you have left all evening free to do whatever else you want.  On top of that (and I'm not entirely sure if this is true or not), your workout burns fuel stores (like fat) in your body up whereas if you run after eating you use up those calories instead.

Oh wow...

I'm starting to think that the best time for me to work out would be before my dance class.  I have "Dance 101" in college, but it's no workout.  It wears me out, yes, but it's nothing like a real gym workout.  So I could get up at 8 instead of 9, be ready by 8:45 (with breakfast!), and then be in the gym from 9 till 10, and class starts (in the building next ot the gym) at 10:10.  So plenty of time.

Way to Go it feels great to work ou tin the morning I get up at 6am every morning have a coffee and out the door to the gym at 6 30 am walk/jog 5 miles on the treadmill and then weights for 20 min some time before my treadmil workout some times after I feel great with starting my day out this way

That's awsome!!! Great motivation for the rest of us to GET MOVING! Smile

You know, I just recently started doing this too. A week in, I'm hooked. I had to force myself to take a day off today to rest my joints and muscles but I really didn't want to! I can tell a huge difference in my energy level for the day today. I'm lagging! But I got my 8 hrs in last night. I'm just so used to the energy that running in the morning gives me.
