I will post my exercise for tomorrow. I plan on doing cardio m,w and f. And weights on Tuesday and Thursday's. So tomorrow will probably be a short toning tape.

I also plan to take days off when I have appointments or I have a sick kiddo or a planned busy day. I want to make this a habit so I need to allow for those rough days.

We can do this.......

I have been home exercising for about 16 years now!

Today I will be doing my elliptical for 60mn and some pilates for 30mn. Thought I'd start the New Year off right! I try to workout 5-6 days a week incorporating cardio(elliptical, kickboxing, step, walking) with strength training ( free weights, pilates, bands).

I am ready for a new year!

Susan

I have set up a home gym as well.  Here is what I have and it serves most all my needs.

Adjustable Bench

Doorway Pullup Bar

Perfect Pushup Apparatus

6lbs and 12lbs Medicine Balls

2, 5, 30 and 45lbs Dumbells

10lbs Barbell with 50lbs of weight (10lbsx4, 5lbsx2)

Ab Wheel (brutal)

2 Power Bands (the rubber strength bands)

Swiss Ball

So you can see it is pretty basic.  But there isnt anything I cannot do really.  I do my cardio via running outside (Monterey is good for that year round).  All of my weight training is accomplished with the above equipment and body weight exercises.  I am limited in the fact that I cant go heavier with my weights for strength gains but I just add extra sets and more reps.  I am actually looking to get leaner and lighter so I think it will work for me.  My goal is 5 cardio events a week minimum for at least 30 minutes and 4 weight lifting events or more a week.  I keep the conditioning to 30-40 minutes but with minimal rest.  Also, throughout the day I will bust out pullups and pushups at random.  I weighed in at 210 and I am now at 206 and my first goal is 190lbs.  Once I hit that I will re-assess what I want to do.  Best of luck to all the home gymers!!!

I'm about to start the Slim In 6 Workout video tomorrow, hopefully in six weeks I'll be a couple of pounds lighter!
Okay I did 20 minutes of Cathe Friedrich's Interval Max and boy am I out of shape. I am sweaty and out of breath. I know in a few weeks things will be better.

I saw the infomercial about it.  It looks pretty good!  I just dont have the spare change to buy it right now.  I have lost 40lbs in 90 days on my own in the past so I didnt see the need to buy it.  But I am interested nonetheless!  It sounds like it is working great for you!

Morning all, I did an hour on the Gazelle yesterday while watching Discovery Health and Biggest Loser. I love to glide.

Also did my floor exercises, sit ups, leg lifts, etc. for about fifteen minutes or so. Plan to do about four sets today.

This site has been so motivating.

 Good luck to everyone.

Good morning all!

Yesterdays elliptical workout was so tough! I went 7.5 miles on it! Today I am doing Cathe's CTX Kickbox followed by her CTX Power Circuit, doing only the cardio portions. I also walk our dog everyday for 30-45mn.

Enjoy your day!  Susan

Today marks the end of week #1 for me on P90X.  It's kicking my butt, but I love it!  I lost 55 pounds here on CC and decided to start P90X to help tone and build some muscle.  I'm hoping to stay around the same weight, but to decrease my body fat %.

Okay guys I did 21 mns of step blast with Cathe Friedrich. next............ Michelle

Good day!

Today is the elliptical for 50mn followed by AB work.  Michelle, Stepblast is one of my favorites! I have it scheduled for my Saturday workout!

Have a great day! Be srong- Susan

Okay Susan-don't you love Cathe workouts? I meant to write I did Mega Step Blast..........today I did Step Blast.

Back in the day when I was pregnant with my first daughter (she is 8 now) I used to do the workouts while pregnant.

I only did 23 minutes today of Step Blast. But I have to add some each day in order to work myself back up. I'd rather start off with hard workouts and do less and slowly work up that way I don't settle in a comfort zone and stay there.

I am not sure about tomorrow's workout but I am doing 25 minutes. Then I am off Sat and Sun and back at it Monday.

Michelle-23 minutes kicked my butt(pathetic I let myself get this way)

So for the past two mornings I've been doing "Start It Up" for the Slim In Six Program (about 25 minutes each workout per day) which has brutally kicked my butt, then at night I put in "Extreme Tae-Bo" for a good 20 minutes too... I'm hoping to keep it up for at least a week before I take a break!

Tonight after all of that, I also danced to music videos for a good half an hour... hahaha, I know I'm a dork. :-/

You're not a dork! It sounds like fun! Laughing

Today is my "off" day for the week. Tomorrow I do Cathe's Step Blast!

Make it a great one and stay strong- Susan

I only work out at home. I have slim in 6, the firm, tae-bo boot camp, windsor pilates, the gliding disc one, and a few others i can't think of the names of :) I really don't do any of them :( If I had my own house with my spare room I would be a little more into doing the video workouts, but right now I am staying with my in-laws while we try to find a house. I am addicted to my elliptical and ab lounge. I like to put my ipod in my ear and go at it. It destresses me.I just started back on it and am doing 25-30 minutes on the elliptical and 1-2 sets of 15 ea (about 5 exercises) on my ab lounge. Do I need to change up?? I do it 5-6 days a week.

I just started working out yesterday.  I did 20 mins on the treadmill at 3.5MPH distance walked:1mile! :)  I plan to continue walking on the treadmill everyday increasing my time by 5-10mins weekly.  So starting on Wednesday I will be doing 30mins a day.

Once i get my Eliptical machine i will be doing that for 20 mins in the morning also increasing it weekly.

I also plan to start doing push-ups in the morning before i go to work.  Need to tone down this fat belly of mine! :)

Wish me luck everyone. & i wish everyone else luck here too!! We can do it!!

This is my first 'official' post, but i've been pretty consistent with working out to my dvd's for the past month.

I alternate between videos and my treadmill.

This morning, I did 20 minutes of pilates and 50 minutes on the treadmill.

Does anyone have FitTV? I just found it while I was browsing through channels... and wow, I love this channel! I did 2 hours of aerobics today!

Now who said TV was bad for you? :)

 aleXXandra

I have FIT tv! I love it too. I dvr some shows from there.

Okay guys I have to admit I didn't exercise today. My husband was off today and I went to the mall, out to eat and now my daughter has someone over to stay all night......on top of that my teenager is out, my 10 yr old is bored and my 2 year old is bugging my daughter and her friend.

Okay excuses excuses I know.......I planned on taking Sat and Sun off but since I didn't workout today I will make the workout up this weekend and post it.....I've been a naughty girl today=)
