Yep count me in! I'm actually half a pound away from my original goal weight, but still not entirely happy so have decided to try for another 5 pounds (the maximum I can lose to be at 20 BMI and healthy). Then I seriously need to get fit and strength train to build about 3 kgs of muscle to replace the muscle mass I have lost.

SW: 164

CW: 130.5

GW: 125 - 130 (depends on muscle mass)

It has taken me just over a year to go from 164 to 130.5 lbs after having a baby. So I've lost a total of 33.5 lbs, which is an average of about 0.6 lbs a week over a year. I joined CC about three weeks ago as I knew the home stretch was gonna be the toughest part and during my weight loss struggles, I always found reading posts in here extremely helpful and motivating. I lost most of my weight by limiting sugar, limiting carbs, eating healthier choice foods and not eating past 7pm - although there has been the occasional once a week takeout and small bits of chocolate and a handful of potatoe chips here and there! It's just got to be done to stay sane and prevent binging! The last three weeks I have been counting calories so I can truly keep track of how much I need to eat to continue to lose and reach my - albeit NEW set goal weight...damn it!

I have just started hitting the maintainence forum to get clued up about what happens when it comes to maintaining as it's going to be so different eating more food after not doing so for so long now, it's kinda a freaky concept to me right now iykm?

Anyway nice to meet you jjcakes. Lets do this thing!

Not eating late was a bigger deal than I thought... this was the first time I counted calories instead of shooting for a quick fix fad diet and I'm very happy so far 9 more lbs to go!! I'm nervous a lil about maintenance too! I'm gonna check out the forum too  Nice to meet you too!!!

It's taken me since February to lose the weight; it comes off me very gradually and I've been making my very best efforts to make sure i'm losing body fat instead of muscle.  I'm into clean eating; my diet is mostly fruit, vegetables, and lean meats; I don't eat white flours and have sensitivities to dairy, beef, and pork.  I've lost a lot of my weight through a mix of weight lifting/yoga/weapons fighting/sparring; it's the best thing I've done for myself. :)

Congrats.

My current weight is 184

Starting weight was 262

Original goal was 175

So far ive lost 78 pounds since febuary of this year.

But now that im that close i can see this site was rite about the weight i should be wich is 154 to 162 so im gonna go for 165 its more then 10 pounds but close enough.

Hi everyone,

I would love to join this group I have 10 pounds left to lose also.  I just had a baby 5 1/2 months ago and am still breastfeeding.  I lost a lot of weight initially however have not lost any for two months now.

CW 135

Goal weight is 125.  I have issues with eating great all day long and then binging at night (when I get up to nurse my baby).   I would like to lose these last 10 pounds by September 1st so I just need that extra motivation to get me there!

Anyone want to do a weekly weigh in to keep us motivated?

I'm in!

CW 129 GW 125

And yeah, weekly weighins sounds goo!

I'll join in...  6' 41 year old guy.

Started at 207 (March 10, 2009)

Currently 175.8 (July 4, 2009)

Goal: 165 (I think)

The 165 might be too much.  I'll probably re-evaluate at 170 and see.  But I've been holding around 175 for the last 2 weeks now (up to 178, back down to 175.8 today) since I've been playing with my calorie intake.

After I hit my goal, no matter what it is, I want to start trying to gain muscle back.  In the end, I think I'd like to be back to 180 to 185 or so.  But even gaining muscle agressively (which I don't plan to do), it seems the best I could realistically expect is a pound or 2 per month.  So that's a long term goal.

I've lost my weight by turning my food intake (I don't like calling it a diet, since it's more a lifestyle change than a temporary diet) on it's head.  Healthy food, healthy portions, etc.  I've also added a bunch of cardio (swimming, biking, and now running), as well as strength training in the last month.  I don't know what I'm going to do in the fall... I'm not a big fan of indoor cardio machines, and up here (Edmonton, AB), it gets pretty darn cold for outdoor running.  And too cold/too much snow for biking.  Might have to get some cross country skis or something, and keep up the swimming and strength training.

I've dropped from a 38" pant size down to a 32".  I actually had (don't ask why, long story) a suit from about 1993, just after I got married.  It fits fine now, which is great because it's an expensive suit, and the one I bought last year no longer fits.  I also have a kilt (again, don't ask) from 1991, and it actually feels a little on the loose side now.  I now wear a men's medium shirt, instead of the larges I used to wear.

Hello! I really like to join too! My stats:

5'8 1/2"

136.6lbs

I would like to get down to at least 130. If at all possible I would love 125. I have super small bone structure, and in general I am very small except for a pudgy stomach. Anyone else have any ideas how to get rid of lower stomach fat? I'm trying to limit junk food and keep my calories around 1400 with daily exercise.

I'm 5'7 and 16 years old.

SW: 150

CW: 116

GW: 110

I was quite slender all through primary school, and then started slowly putting on weight in my early high school years. Then, last year I REALLY packed it on going to McDonald's after school most days and just... ugh I can't even comprehend some of the things I used to eat. I had a very, VERY low self-esteem and was stuck in a cycle of starve/binge/starve/binge... and of course that got me nowhere. So, in December last year I thought: That's it. And I started out by making better food choices, then I went on holidays to LA, Canada and Hawaii and was walking around a lot so I lost 27 pounds before school went back. Then I started exercising five times a week - I've not been doing that really recently though. Then I became vegan for ethical and health reasons after reading "Slaughterhouse" and "Skinny Bitch". After that I lost 7 more pounds and 110 might be a bit low for me, it's just a number... I measure my success more by how I look and feel.

Weekly weighs in for sure! When should we do them maybe mondays??? What does everyone else think?

I'm trying to cut out alcohol too to kick this last 10 lbs in the butt. (I work at night clubs its soooo hard, I was having to make sure and save 300 calories for day I work just for alcohol!)

Yep, Mondays sound good (Tuesday where I am in lil ole NZ)!

Ah that must be so tough with the alcohol JJcakes. I think a lot of my having love-to-hate handles has to do with my liking my beer too much over the years. And I think a lot of my weight loss has been cos I rarely ever drink anymore,  lol - having a small child kinda does that to ya.

In saying that, I had a couple bottles of wine Saturday night to celebrate reaching my first goal weight (I actually hit 129, 129.5 lbs for 3 mornings in a row yahhh!) and I don't even want to know how many calories that all amounted too, because I reakon that if I had known before hand I wouldn't have let myself drink as much and I would have been a major party pooper.

The problem was actually more the next day for me as when I'm hungover I crave carb loaded fatty foods all day long, so Sunday was a bit of a write off with me eating over 2000 cals. It's been months and months since I've eaten that much in a day!

So, I don't expect to lose this next coming week, I will just be happy if the scale stays put. So far, it has, so fingers crossed!

So, as it is Monday here (in future I will log my weight on Tuesday's though)  CW = 130.5 (same as last week).

Hope you all had a good weight loss week! Wink

P.S To the male (sorry didn't remember your nick) who mentioned having a kilt. You soooo have to explain further about why you have one! I am assuming you have Scottish heritage? Hey, you asked to be asked about this lol!

Today was a "hungry day" and the first time since I began that I fell off the band-wagon. I don"t know if I am PMS'ing or what but I have been hungry alllllll day! I tried everything it would go away I just finally gave in and ate an entire box of Rice-a-Roni (wish I was kidding but I'm not) Not feeling so great about it but I know when I get up tomorrow I will be right back on track...

Does anyone else have days where no matter what you eat you are "starving" what do you do???? :(

Oh yesssssss! Like now, I'm thinking about all the food I could easily go and devour in my pantry. Probably got my appetite up after the big eat fest yesterday lol.

Usually I have a low cal hot choc if it's night time. During the day, my biggest vice is Coke Zero. Not so healthy I know, but next to 0 Cals! It has definately had a big impact on my losing all my weight!

Hmmm...I also occasionally keep boiled eggs in the fridge. Another fav is low salt peanut butter with celery or carrot. Definately opt for something high protein over high carb, as the carbs will just make you hungrier, whereas the protein fulls you up for longer.

I'm at 176.6 today, up 0.8 pounds from July 4 (sadly).  But I think my body is still adjusting to the diet changes, and more intense exercise I've been doing lately.  After a more intense day, I see my weight spike up by a couple of pounds, and then it comes off slowly over the next couple of days.  So I'm blaming it on water weight :)  Cutting down on the exercise isn't really an option, as I'm training for a sprint triathlon in a bit more than a month.  In any case, I've been averaging a little bit under my maintenance calories for the last week, so that part is good.  I have made some bad decisions late in the day, underestimating how many calories are left in my budget compared to my last snack.  I'll have to watch that in the future.

I also got my body fat analyzer on Friday.  I'm currently sitting at around 15% body fat.  I'd like to target 12%.  To me, a value like that is more important than a weight number.  If I can lose just fat, that would mean losing another (175 * 0.03 = 5 pounds), so that would put my target weight at 170.

With regards to the kilt, it goes back many years to my brother, my cousin and  feeling like we were "black sheep of the family".  So we started a "Black Sheep Club".  We're not Scottish, but we decided for our family golf tournament (my dad has 10 brothers and 1 sister, so there's enough for a few foursomes of golf), my cousin made us all kilts to wear.  Made a bit of a splash that day, I must say.  And I learned all about not wearing underwear on hot days, and how chafing is a bad thing.  I've also worn my kilt out to a bar in the middle of winter (-20 degree temps), and I can tell you, I never realized how forward some women can be.  I had my kilt lifted I don't know HOW many times!

And now, it's time for my morning swim!  Going to try for a 2k swim today, gotta get that back under control.

I gained a lb but as I said I ate and entire box of rice (oh num num num num...lol) last night and it made me super thirsty! I have drank 5 bottled waters just since 2am so I'm gonna chop it to water weight. Hopefully next week I can finally drop below 134! I'm gonna try to go for  swim today to burn off some of the 720 calories I over ate last night ay ay ay :(

Hello. :)

6'1'' and 18 years old (male)

SW: 236 lbs.

CW: 172 lbs.

GW: 165 lbs.

My lowest weight was 159 lbs. and it kind of scared some people, so I put about 15 lbs. back on, which was disappointing. But I'm sitting here in my hotel room right now...thinking about the future and how I want to get back on this journey after a month of poor fitness and eating habits.

Looking forward to it. :3

My friend and I are going out to run on the beach tonight! Hooray! :D

um yeah, so I gained like 3lbs from the 4th of July lol. I had one too many margs! and beers for that matter as well!!

So my weight the past few weeks has been 129lbs, but today it was 132lbs :(

I cut back today and plan to the rest of the week, so hopefully my weight will go back down soon!

Don't worry I also gained 3 pounds from the fourth-way to many cookies.  :) Hopefully mine will slip back down to 135 by the end of the week.

I weighed 136.2 lbs this morning. I've been around 136-137 for about 10 days, I'm really hoping I can drop a lb or two by Saturday. (Saturdays are my weigh in, but I'll be a team member and also weigh in on Monday.)

Today, I'm going to do an hour of lifting with a bit of cardio and stretching to warm up the muscles.

B: oatmeal w/ blueberries and skim milk

Well, today was my "official" weigh in day.  Started on a Tuesday long ago, kept that up for whatever reason.  Down to 175.5, so a loss from last Tuesday of 1.8 pounds.  Back down to tie my lowest official weight.  Been trying to keep the calories under my burn rate, and succeeded for most of the week.  And my BF analyzer said I was at 14.8% today, instead of just over 15%, so that's good too. :)  Means I'm losing what I want to lose.

Did my 2k swim yesterday, broken up into 750m (the distance for my triathlon), 500m, and then 3 x 250m.  When I entered the tri about a month ago, they wanted to know how fast you'd be doing the swim in, so they could group you accordingly.  I said 15 minutes.  Swam my 750m distance yesterday in 14:47, so that's cool.  And even at the end, I was still swimming at that pace.  Now if I could only get my running in shape too... Coming up on 1 month away.

Today was weight training, and a running clinic tonight.  Unfortunately, it's raining, and a predicted high of 17 degrees C (62 F)... Not my idea of nice running weather.
