Home workout

I've had to quit the gym (which i was really enjoying) due to finances (isn't it always the way) and now have to resort to doing some exercise at home and have no idea where to start.

I have the following equipment, could someone please give some advise on what i should/could be doing for weight loss keeping in mind that i live in flat with no communal/personal garden Frown

Dumbells / skipping rope / exercise ball

Many thanks

cardio- jump rope, take walks/jogs/runs... and you could go to a local park and do these things... think of it as a free, outside gym :P

weights- use the dumbells and the exercise ball together :) use the ball as a "weight bench" . You can probably find some ideas online or if you search some threads around here :)

also, you could find some yoga dvd's that you could use at home that also incorporate the stability ball!

I hope this helps!

Resistance bands are relatively cheap too.

Great muscle work out for every part of your body!

That link is pretty useful for the ball exercises...you can also find a ton of other workout ideas on this website. I use it for new ideas when I get bored because I workout in my room instead of the gym.

Careful using a workout ball for a weight bench... they will pop. I have a pretty good workout ball and it only holds 250 total weight. I weigh 195 so that doesn't leave much for weight lifting.
