Hey guys!
I'm going to my high school's homecoming dance in three days, there is no hope for me to even look a little slimmer is there? I bought a dress that fits but I'm looking to slim down on my arms and waist. I realize that's not going to happen in such a short period of time haha - just wondering if anyone has suggestions that would get me pumped up for the event rather than worrying about my weight. I just joined CC so I'm a little new to this. Thanks a bunch!
S.
how about getting a manicure, pedicure, and maybe a facial. your weight is not going to change and you should try to embrace and love your body. if you want to look less "puffy" avoid high sodium food, diet sodas, artificial sweeteners, chewing gum, and bulky veggies. drink tons of water, eat whole grains, lean protein, and veggies that are less bulky like peas and carrots as opposed to broccoli and cabbage.

How is gum bad for you? Do you mean that you shouldn't swallow chewing gum?

Almost all gum contains sugar alcohols (which are pulled from the gum and digested), one side effect of which is bloating.
Everything Chrissy suggested is great. Also remember not to have a large meal before, as this'll make you feel sluggish and bloated, too. :) Have fun!

I had no idea. I chew gum to keep me from eating when I'm not really hungry.
