Homemade Delicious Protein Popsicles! Only 60 cals!

Quote  |  Reply

Hi -

Just made these and had to share. Didn't go by any recipe, just thought it would be great and it turned out well.

Here's the recipe:

1 1/2 cup skim milk (135 cals)

1 cup frozen fruit (80 cals)

1 small Source yogurt (35 cals)

1 tbsp honey (60 cals)

1.5 - 2 scoops of protein Powder (I used vanilla PC whey protein @ 110 cals per scoop)

Blend that up and pour into popsicle molds! Freeze for a couple hours.

Entire recipe about 465 cals (depending on what ingredients you use), made between 8-9 popsicles for me, so was around 58-60 cals each.

I think each popsicle ended up having 5-6grams of protein.

Can't wait to try new flavours!

:)

If the fruit is sweet enough, you might not even need sweetner.  This would be nice to have in the freezer in the summertime.  Today it's so damp and cold, I can't even think about ice!
